great win last night, although it has to be mentioned that Newcastle were a shambles. Moses looked very good and Payet is absolutely different gravy. Also great to have Big Andy Carroll back. Chant of the night was "he left cause you're shark, he left cause you're shark, Andy Carroll, he left cause you're shark"
West Ham thread
Agreed.Good 3 points.Newcastle bottom now
Biggest news of the night is Andy Carroll lasted a whole game without an injury.
Shock, horror. Andy Carroll is ruled out of injury treatment due to mysterious bout of fitness.

Watching in 'The Pub" on the Terrace and the best I heard was as Ginger Pele was warming up, they shouted "you're not ginger any more" to which he took a peek down his shorts and smiled........priceless!
So Sakho preferred to Carroll?

Right now yes. The time will be come for Andy maybe against Leicester mid week in the cup.
If isn't injured putting on his trainers.
If isn't injured putting on his trainers.
now with protective headgear
Norwich were onto it at the start with the packed midfield but didn't have the goods.Ha!
I'm not sure Andy Carroll fits in with the WH play now that Bilic is running the show but who would buy him?
I cannot see anyone paying anywhere near the sort of money we would want for AC in the Jan transfer window, unless he scored 20 goals between now and then.
Another decent game in the weekend - we gave them the first goal, and then just stood off them for about 20 minutes, making them look a lot better than they actually are. Once we equalised got back to playing again, and I was pretty confident we would win from that point on. Until they scored again. Scrambled equaliser in the 94th minute is always great fun though.
When the commentators mentioned that Andy Carroll might have crocked himself after 5 minutes I pissed myself laughing.
Liverpool are excellent at flogging damaged goods (e.g. Torres and Carroll).
It's still a mystery how Bilic is setting WH up to win at home though.
For large periods of the game they gifted us possession.
Moments of the match:
- Jonny Howson carries off the pigeon (cue Canary rescues pigeon lines)
- Adrian doesn't mind balls to the face: Cameron Jerome smashes the ball on target - Adrian knows nothing about it and proabably won't until he sees the replay.
- Yeah, I'll say it, the last gasp equaliser. It was theatre at it's best.
this is what I sent to someone else this morning:
0-10 mins - playing pretty well, forcing a few corners, looking like we are up for it
10 mins - give them a goal
11 - 30 mins - fudgeing awful. Stand off them, give Hoolihan tonnes of space, not make a tackle. Generally make them look like the reincarnation of the Brazil 1970 team
30 mins - score a good goal
31 - 83 mins - play well, looking like we can score if we could be bothered, but are too cool to actually be bothered.
83 mins - concede a sharkty goal
84 - 93 mins - the BFS way, launching everything up to Carroll. Surprisingly good fun to watch.
94 mins - scrambled, last minute equaliser. Everyone goes home happy.
But there are no song sheets - how does everyone know the words?
Never had a song sheet at West Ham but Twitter seems to be doing a good job;
"We've got Payet Dimitri Payet
I just don't think you understand
Hes super Slaven's man
Hes better than Zidane
We've got Dimitri Payet"
Wow too good!!
I did not expect that - you Irons
And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust!
Every year there seems to be the designated unexpected 'giant killers' - West Ham's turn this season! Doing a bloody good job of it too..
great game on Saturday. Fantastic atmosphere, brilliant performance and a great result. Always lovely to beat the rent boys, and especially with the implosion of their manager, staff and players.
draw this morning . coulda marked lukkau better for his goal

agree although that was pretty much the only real chance he had. Tonks and Reid kept him quiet for much of the game. McCarthy's two- footed challenge has probably cost Payet a few games out now. Lanzini's goal was a thing of beauty.
west brom . bring it coyi three points
good first half, average second half. Wonderful freekick from Zuarate, and they scored the most Pulis goal ever. Carroll is a lot better when coming on from the last 15-20 minutes, but Sakho didn't look good going off so really hoping that he is not out for any substantial period of time.
Man I am really starting to like the look of Lanzini mad skills
Don't forget KiwiHammers are hosting the Man U game at One Fat Bird t(162 Karori Rd) tomorrow starting at 11:00am.

5-1 oh yeah . sorry blackburn it was never gonna happen
Winston & AC back (not sure about Sakho) v the Black Cats plus Kouyate reinstated
We need a result
Another win.
pretty ugly in the weekend. Decent first half, terrible second half (which is at least a little bit unusual as it is normally the other way round). Nice to beat BFS, although he was surprisingly respectful on his return. Massive game on Wednesday night.
Bummed out to throw 3 points away against Palace.Looked pretty good in places
Getting into the business end now, scrapping time
Shall we talk about the game?
A tad controversial...
for me.....
sending off was correct - first booking was soft but it was a massive dive and deserved a second booking for that.
West Ham penalty was soft, but their were stronger shouts for exactly the same thing earlier and the ref had warned them about grappling on numerous occasions so was bound to give one eventually.
Leicester penalty not given was probably a stronger shout than the West Ham one given but it was the first time it had happened. Leicester got 3 warnings so would have been harsh to penalise West Ham for the first one (although that should not be how the laws are applied).
Leicester penalty give was just a nonsense. Never a penalty and cost us 2 points. Fudgeing infuriating.
