Clearly he has been carrying great wraps for a long time - but isn't he another injury prone player. Do THFC need another sicknote?

I think it is a good price and a good buy, but as long as he stays fit.

We already have one talented injury-prone central defender...

Apparantly Cerny had a pretty average game in the 1-3 defeat to Man Yoo, so i would be fairly certain Robbo will be back for the next game against Everton

Perhaps that would be inconsistent...Robbo made half a dozen gaffs in several games before he was dropped!

Already reports he's out for fortnight with a Hamstring problem.

Who Woodgate or King? - I heard King missed the Man Yoo game as he was injured again and out for 2 weeks. Woodgate is in the team for the trip to Everton tomorrow...

365 said he was two weeks away with a Hamstring challenge, but they could have just been on the wind-up.

King is having every 3rd game off to manage the inflammation, as i understand it.

This from the Telegraph...

"Woodgate completed his 7 million, three-and-a-half-year transfer to White Hart Lane yesterday, as Spurs have begun to plan their long-term future without Ledley King.

King has only just returned from a long-term injury, but the captain's damaged knee has deteriorated to such an extent that Ramos has been advised he can only realistically play around one game in every three for the rest of his career.

With King's future uncertain, Ramos has been determined to sign Woodgate from Middlesbrough for the past week and beat off competition from Newcastle and Aston Villa to land the 28-year-old on 60,000-per-week wages."

I am surprised he is on that amount of money (if it is true) as Spurs have had a salary cap of 50k quid a week...

Well he was slipping down the oprder at Boro so a good buy ?? Well lets say Newcastle were also looking at him and their recent records of buying defenders is ...........

I'd have more faith in THFCs coaching staff to reinstate him as a centre back of international calibre.

There's no doubt Woodgate is a talented player but if can only play 1/3 of game a season due to ongoing injuries is he still worth it? Ramos obviously thinks so.

I genuinely feel sorry for King, an excellent player but his knee is gone, and it has been for over a year now.

Well, Woodgate impressed by helping keep a clean sheet away from home this morning. Amazing considering the other 3 defenders are new to the spurs set up/playing in a hitherto unfamiliar position.

Home at Manure at the weekend might give a better impression of progress!
