Thanks for the hard work in organizing this.

I am researching for my picks atm.

As i am in Japan and have no Kiwi bank account anymore, it would be difficult to transfer money to the winner or recieve money When (if) i win haha. so is it ok if i forfit the money if i win and don't pay to play?

Libertynz: Absolutely no problem, that's actually the idea. You can chop and change and tweak things right up until Sept 2. On that day I will take everyone's picks and put them in a spreadsheet, they are then locked in. Just make sure you make changes by editing your original post please.

Detoxin: No problem with that at all. Keen to include everyone as best we can, if anyone else prefers to play non-financially that's absolutely fine as well. 

Alrighty lads, one week to go to make your Round 1 picks. And one month to go to make your season predictions. 

At this time we have 15 confirmed entrants, and 1 possible entrant (my Norwich friend, still firmly twisting his arm, hoping he will be in). 

This is the current situation on who has picked what thus far:

After Round 1 is complete, I will post the leaderboards, and then I will post a number of rounds ahead, so that people can pick well in advance if they have any fears of forgetting. Remember you can always edit your picks as the round approaches. 

Also, this kinda goes without saying, but don't anyone be a scummy cheat and edit your picks after games have happened, but before I have calculated. Apart from the fact it is risky because there's a strong likelihood I will notice, it's also just really bad form and will be very embarrassing for you if you are caught. This is actually a really sh*tty thing for me to even say, I'm sure none of you will actually do this, but may as well slam the message home ;) My faith in humanity was altered forever when a mate told me this bizarre story about how a work colleague would read the stuff quiz in the morning and not tell anyone, and then act all smart when they did it as a team each afternoon, complete with elaborate fabricated stories about how he knows answers... LOL some people eh

Hey Leggy, you're short of a few players in your round 1 picks, you gotta pick two players each from Liverpool, Norwich, Arsenal, ManU and Chelsea. You've got 2 Liverpool players, but need to add one more for Norwich, one more for ManU, 2 for Arsenal and 2 for Chelsea.

Of course if you put the picks in with the intention of coming back to complete it before the games then ignore me, as you were!

You can change your picks right up until kick off as long as you edit in the post... Most of the time I log them at that point if it's convenient for me. 

Also, if you edit, no need to quote it, just change it in the original post, good chance I can miss quoted changes if the original post remains unchanged, there's a lot of posts to trawl through so the simpler the original source the better...

Was going to review mine but realised my recent re-location gives me an advantage and didn't want to take the piss.

Yep that's fine Brumbys. I have always regularly done that, when I see that someone I've picked isn't in the starting eleven... no issues whatsoever. 

Ok still fiddling with the spreadsheet but in the meantime, standings after round 1:

Buffon and kwlap you didnt make full picks. Remember 2 players for each of our teams (arsenal, liverpool, manU, chelsea, norwich)

I checked the new guys picks but didnt think to check the regulars! 

Big points available with all the ties for MOM in the ManU/Chelsea game. 

Martial and Rashford were a big part of most people's points. Pedro was another scorer for a lot of people. Firmino was the big points getter in the Liverpool game. Leggy picked all four of those and takes the early lead...
