Yellow Fever English Football Picks 21/22

Hey guys, I have sad news. After much thought and deliberation, I am not going to run the picks this coming season.
I won't regale you with personal tales but life has changed quite a bit for me over the last little while, and I just can't commit to getting it done unfortunately. 
It's a very sad day as I rather enjoyed this, and I wanted to keep it going, but I just can't do it justice. 
You never know, perhaps I could resurrect it next season, will see how things pan out.

I will still be around occasionally on the Arsenal thread but you may have noticed I've been giving it all a lot less time lately. Lets see how I go coming into next season, you never know, I could be back. 
Thank you all who participated and made it fun, and worthwhile to put in the effort, it was very enjoyable. 
And foal30, wherever you are, I raise a toast to you fine sir!

Thanks for all of your work Paulm. It has been great being involved in these comps over the years. in fact, this is the only one i can ever stay interested in. 

I am going to have a hunt around to see if there is any easy online something that we could setup. i will keep everyone posted if i find a comp structure that could work. 

I have the spreadsheet I used, ronniemac created it for me, that made it easy-ish to calculate and post the scores. If anyone ever wanted that, DM me an email addy and can send a copy through to see if it might help.
I won't rule out returning to run this next season, just need to take this season off, have a hell of a lot on and something just has to give unfortunately. 
Not to get too personal but separated with the partner and moved out from the kids, so going through all that. Lookng to buy my own house right now, plus am attempting to start up my own business with some friends, all while working a full time job. So just a tad hectic right now!

Somehow missed this. Thanks for all the effort in running it Paul, and really sorry to hear about the personal stuff.
I'll flick you a DM for the spreadsheet. I'm a data analyst so spreadsheets are essentially my life so should be able to get my head around it. If there's enough interest I don't mind running it for a season (unless kwlap wants to, or we could do it jointly?) - hopefully you can still manage to take part as a participant without the time and responsibility of running it.

I would definitely make picks as a participant if you did run it! I imagine ronniemac would participate again as well. 

had a quick google this arvo and I didnt find any online compts that were any good. only really found ones which you had to pick the result of ever game and the idea of picking west ham vs villa in December would put me to sleep. So if Ajc is keen to run it then I'll support you! I'm not that flash on excel but i can add on my fingers and toes! 

All good, I'm can run it. I'll make a new thread for the season to see if there's interest then go from there.
