Feel I have to start a Cammy Devlin thread lest I turn the ex-Nix players one into that!

Here’s Cammy in nose bleed territory, playing a somewhat different role to what he did at the Nix in a 0-0 draw.

In number 14.
Has a snap shot as Hearts give Celtic a run for their money. Up against gun new signing Hatate, but not at fault for Hatate’s debut goal.

This is an absolutely cracking game for Cammy. Comes back from nearly costing a goal getting caught in possession to having a key role in both goals. Seems to be playing 8 and 10 simultaneously. What a champ!

Cammy one of only two attacking highlights for Hearts in a dismal loss 5-0 to Rangers.
He chases up on the right, forces an error and just misses wide with a lob of the on rushing keeper.
Perhaps could have done with him screening deeper and covering as Hearts were exposed on defense time and again.
Hasn’t put away a couple of half-chances recently- surely the goal can’t be too far away.

figured out how to insert a video.
Cammy getting into the box a bit. The highlights are all Hearts and just the goal mouth activity, suggesting not too much of a midfield battle. Hearts seem to often have 5-6 players flooding the box. Cammy gets a bit of a dinked cross, a couple of touches before the first goal.

Definitely back to his starting place then and still with quite a lot of license to get forward. This is a 3rd v 10th game though and there is quite a gap. Though St Mirren gave them a challenge last game.

Wonder if he’s going to push to a different league from here or if this will be a club he’ll be comfortable at for a while. Hoping it’s the former.

I would expect a Championship move next, clubs from that level tend to sign people that do well in Scotland.

Cammy out injured for a couple of weeks yet. Came off 30 minutes into the 2-2 draw with Dundee in the last league game.

Scrappy Doo mostly on the subs bench these days, but here’s a start and an assist for the first goal against Dundee 8 days ago. Didn’t start the last game against Celtic.
Seem to be a bunch of ex-A leaguers in the SPFL now.

not that I really want to highlight the fact my team lost but it is Dundee UNITED not Dundee - Dundee are the wee team from accross the road and are in the Championship (although the way we seem to be going we could be with them next season!)

He has been coming back from injury. Would expect him to get back to being a regular starter soon

As RR predicted Cammy very much back in the mix. Started throughout September. Two tough results against Rangers and in Europe- both 4-0. Otherwise saw off the rest of opposition from the SPL.

Is that 100 grand-US?? I wouldn't say that is a small pay out...yes the Nix are probably a 4-5 mil per year operation, but that would pay for a squaddie's salary for a season..not bad.

It would be interesting how much we will make after the next WC when you'd assume we'd have 4 or 5 players in the national team

Listened to the Open Goal Podcast with former Hearts DOF Joe Savage. He said the club signed Cammy Devlin from the Jets for 30k (assuming this is pounds). Mentioning this as I believe the transfer fee was a bit of an unknown

A few years ago it was reported that the it cost $10 - $14 million Australian to run an A-League club. No idea what the range is now but you'd think the Nix are mid-budget, so say $12 million.

Sounds nasty. Hope it's not too bad. Surely permanent disfigurement can be avoided by plastic surgery? In any case, it sounds gruesome AF

Motm vs Celtic to give Hearts an 8 point lead over Celtic at the top of the table.

Last year of his current deal & he is having his best season on the park, so he is gonna get paid handsomely.
