Although if he continues his form from last night Ukraine won't have too much to worry about. #barndoor

Not really. It was justified.

Three for me, and two for them.

It was justified, that was thuggish behaviour from Rooney which needs to be harshly sanctioned to keep it out of the game.

Not in my book. Have seen two-footed leg brakers get less that that.

Two wrongs don't make a right, I'd have those tackles be a three-game suspension too. Rooney petulantly kicked an unsuspecting player from behind simply because he was pissed off that he coughed up possession easily, I'm very happy for players to sit out three games for that.

There is no arguement about him kicking the player from behind. However, it was NOT a leg breaker, it was stupid.
The point is that I have seen two footed leg breakers with studs up that did not get a 3 game ban.

Love your prediction for Group C (and praying that's how it actually ends up).

Also agree on Group B picks.

Will the Four Kings be showing matches? Would love to be around a group of people rather than in front of the screen at home.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I can't understand this fetish managers in England have with Terry - he's an extremely objectionable person, and not that good of a footballer.

And picking Downing over Johnson? Carroll in the squad? What a strange squad that is.

I think this might be a last hurrah for quite a few of the English players. 7 of the squad are over 30 and Woy will need time to try and blood some new players for Rio.

I agree, strange squad. It's like they pick players based on what salary they earn at club level sometimes. Also seems like every English manager is scared of making big changes or doing something different to what the previous guy did. Meh, I just hope it means they crash out disgracefully in pool play. Love it when they underachieve.

At least we can be sure that they won't let us down in this area.

I know that it should be all about football, but I agree with EG and Buffy - Terry is a blight on the English game and I don't feel like supporting the team while he is in it.  Same happened when Bowyer was playing.

I realise that the players can't be expected to be model citizens but equally they shouldn't expect wide spread support when they are utter @rseholes either.

Crashing out in pool play wouldn't be underachieving though

He is a blight on the game in general J82.

Woy said it should be just about footballing matters on how a side is picked, but there's two things wrong with that.

1) A football team relies on far more than just ability or skill if they want to be successful, and 2) Terry has been shithouse for lengthy parts of this season.

Three for me, and two for them.

While not being a great fan of Terry, he is as much a blight on the game as many other players, past and present.

Tony Adams for example spent time in jail as did other top players.

This is an important tournament and I for one hope that England do well, with or without Terry.

Point taken Leggy and maybe I am being hypocritical (perhaps other current players are equally as morally reprehensible as Terry but we just don't know about it).

I hope England do well without him.

Apparently SKY haven't yet obtained the right for EURO 2012.

Sky needs to pull finger, this seems to be happening all too often lately. They only got the rights to the NRL two weeks before the season started. The IPL 1 week after the season started and they have still not got rights to Wimbledon.

Come on SKY buck up your ideas we are paying premium prices to subscribe and we expect to be able to watch the top events in the world.

They have been advertising it.  It's in their magazine too highlighting June sports events.

Looking at their website the times they are showing the games must be delayed, not live.So they are showing the games, just not live. Thats the way I read it.

It was always going to be Terry or Ferdinand, but not both. What probably swung it was Terry's partnership at club level, with Cahill, who seems to be improving all the time. Throw in Ashley Cole and you've got a club understanding in place(+ Glenn Johnson was a former Chelsea player). Ferdinand has been a far better player than Terry throughout his career, but at present, with his age, injury issues etc, it really was a 50/50 call. Hopefully Hodgson has judged it correctly.
