Who's your pick to win? Thoughts on first legs

I don't think Man U did enough to beat Milan over two leagues, those two away goals will be crucial. I hope Liverpool go through but today's match didn't convince me. A lot of corners and crosses little result, hopefully Finnan and Sissoko play the next game, maybe Crouch and Kuyt to start and Bellamy to come on later.

I don't want to see Chelski and Man U play for everything.

Exactly right, i think it would in some way ruin the game if Chelsea played Man u in another big Comp.

As a neutral fan i wouldnt mind seeing liverpool vs Milan again, but this time Milan winning 9-0.

I personally thnk tht Liverpool wil come through nxt week i th 2nd leg 2 progress 2 th champions league final 4 th 2nd tym in 3 years.. reason 4 ths is bcz thy are a hard team 2 break dwn at anfield on euorpean nights and thy wil score 2 or 3 goals at home.. i also thnk th pennant sud strt in th return leg 2

Well done to the scouse , anything to see Chelski get removed from a competition.

i agree with you phil, chahoo Liverpool FC in the final for the second time in three years!

Just finished watching the Liverpool v Chelsea semi!!! Not one of the great games but what a result for us Liverpool fans. Jose Mourinho must hate the sight of Rafa these days....
Not too sure who I'd rather get for the final...Utd are probably the biggest threat butwouldn't a replay of the 2005 final be a classic matchup......
01 May 22:32 · edited 09 Sep 04:55
Agree Phil Style, exactly never make predictions in writing. Nothing good happens from it. Fantastic victory, today. Reina was awesome. Rafa was classic sitting down on the turf watching penalties.

According to Sky Sports, Jose Mourihno claimed today, after Chelseas Champions League Cup exit, that Chelsea were the better team in the fixture played against Liverpool. This is typial of Mourinhos post match irrationality and is a continuation of this mans public negativity that seems to follow any Chelsea defeat.

The man is desperate. The Abramovic millions are not flowing as fast as they once were. Shevchenko has publicly made a scene by refusing to travel to Enfield for the latest game. Chelsea are on course to loose the EPL Championship race now too.

Mourinho is sounding like a desperate man now. I wouldnt be surprised if he resigns at seasons end, because Im sure hes the type to jump before he gets pushed.

He is being lined up as the next Real Madrid manager

I really dont see how the  Liverpool are progressing in this competetion after performances like todays. I really didnt rate any one of liverpools players out there as they all looked like 5 year old kicking te ball downfield every possesion. Liverpool are a team with prestige and at times a very dangerous squad, but to have beaten Chelsea they were lucky. Ill leave it at that...i have a builing to go jump off.

As gracious in defeat as your manager... I don't know how many CL semi-finals we're going to have to knock you out of before you stop calling it 'luck'.

No hard feelings though - it was a scrappy game 'hoof it' kind of a game from both sides at times, but we dominated possession for large spells, and we nailed the penalty shootout.  If England qualify for a major tournament in the near future we need to send the squad to Liverpool for penalty training beforehand!

Not defending Moaninho at all but Shevchenko picked up a knock v Bolton and was in the stands.

...by the way, i hate Chelseas guts. i support the Arse.

Chelsea also just lobbed the ball up to Drogba's head or chest that was their one and only tactic, Lampard, Kalou were non-existent. Frank was especially horrible, couldn't pass, couldn't hold possession and was incredibly cheap with late challenges.

LIVERPOOL, LIVERPOOL. As much as I hate Man U it would be great to beat them in the final. If they make it!!!!!!

Uncle Steve u have lost the plot.. Liverpool FC have proven that thy r good enough to be in the final once again.. its ok aresnal's still got a chance... hahahahahah
02 May 08:56 · edited 09 Sep 04:55

Mourinho at it again did anyone see the after match comments. Mourinho"for the 1st 15 minutes it was all Liverpool but after that there was only one team and they were wearing blue". I didn't think Liverpool would win but i was hoping they did just for mourinho's comments. Now all that needs to happen is Manchester win tomorrow and then knock Liverpool over in the final.

Proof and Luck are two differnt things. Liverpool have riden the good luck train this year and Arsenal have riden the bad luck train. Football is never just...

Milan will win for sure...Kaka will run circles around the Liverpools defense..I predict he will score two goals...and HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Man U lost...Kaka#1.

That's what everyone said 2 years ago.......while I don't think it will be the same type of game as 2 years ago, I think it will be a lot closer than people think.  Both teams have good defensive systems, and counter attacking play, so will be very interesting match up.....

After been there 2 years ago, I would love to be back there this year, but as I can't.....Go Liverpool!

Being a brit I would have loved an all english final, would have been happy to watch a real humm dinger of a final too, not bothered who would win. Now there is no Manure its simple, go the pool!

Kaka is class, shame we will never see him in the EPL Unless Royston Keane can tempt him to The SoL
