Trying to watch. SkyGo is having a fit and I've only found a lo-fi stream so far.

Goal looked to have an offside touch?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

RM are sitting soo deep. I don't think ATL know what to do with so much ball!

Yeah only just offside happened so quick I dont blame the official for not putting the flag up.

Agreed - but their aim looks to be trying to drop it into the box, which is hard with 8 guys sitting on the 18 yard box.  That's a big bus.

Clattenburg handled early intensity well and consequently we have a free flowing match. Atleti back into it in latter stages of first half. Loving the speed of play and ball mastery - esp Modra. Different watch to the last game i watched when a team in All White was playing!

Zizou has used all his subs. Atleti with momentum but could change in blink of eye; such pace all over the park. Salivating extra time coming up.

Carrasco has been brilliantly dangerous all game. He's got Danilo's number here.

Glad RM won but feel sorry for AM as they played excellent football.

Pity they won it again. Good management from Zidane to bring on Ronaldo in the 119th minute to take a penalty.

Celtic have opened their European campaign in the Second Qualifying Round of the Champions League with a 1-0 loss to Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar.

I was going to make some sort of joke but one's not needed really.

Fantastic comeback by Man C to beat Barca 3-1. Messi, Neymar, Busquets, etc. put to the sword. Should be compulsory viewing for all coaches whose players suffer from inferiority complexes.

Let's be honest though, a huge dive for their penalty.

And I could've sworn di maria snake was fouled when he was 1v1 with the keeper, but we never got to see a replay of that...

The PSG defender was watching the player and it was a push in the back. Suarez loves to dive, but this time it was penalty. It was a stupid challenge.

The penalty near the end of the game? His arm touch Suarez's shoulder. The problem is this would never be given anywhere else on the field.

Alternate angles on the tackle of Di Maria that wasn't given: https://streamable.com/tf7kb

This wasn't replayed once. That and the two penalties this all smells a bit fishy. (Call me crazy)

The EPL teams must be glad UEFA recently changed the qualification path for the top 4 leagues - going on the previous rules it would have been getting very close to the EPL loosing a spot in the UCL.

So City out.....well played Monaco. Its really strange how City have spent over a billion euros on players in the last few years yet they look so unbalanced...especially on defense.

The Monaco side had 4 players under 23 years old...that Mpappe will be a star. Another jem out of the French talent factory. Plus Monaco had their best attacker Falcao and their best defender Glik both missing through injury.

Back to the drawing board for Pep

As for the Barca game.......lots of complaints in the Euro media about the referee. He either let the occasion get to him or he was dodgy. Mascherano admitted after the game that he fouled De Maria and it should have been a penalty. It would have been game over.

Many people think that UEFA want the big three Barca, Real and Bayern to go through for commercial reasons. It will be interesting to see if any of them are drawn agaisnt each other for the next round
