oh wow. how crazy were this morning games. just loved it. I thought it peaked with the Dortmund game, but that Porto win was something else. I hope the new UCL format doesn't fudge with this.
It’s a funny quirk of the draw this year that the teams in pot two look significantly more imposing than those in pot one. Especially for Liverpool and United, who can’t draw Chelsea and City.
Interesting: No UEFA club competitons are being held between November 3 2022 and February 14 2023 (three and a half months) because of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November and December. Tough for Spark Sport, who have already lost the EPL and are going to lose a lot of their remaining football subscribers, with few subscribing at all from November through to mid-February. UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2022 - 23: The 2022-23 Group Stages dates — all Tuesday and Wednesday evenings — are:
Real have absolutely mugged their way to the final. They have never been the better side offer 90mins. But when they click for 5 or so mins, they blow people off the park.
Well Real Madrid win it. Liverpool fans show up is numbers and try and squeeze in causing a delay in kick off time.
Up to 60,000 Liverpool supporters, most without tickets, throng Paris, turning avenues and cafe terraces red in their team's colours ahead of the Champions League final against Real Madrid. With each club allocated space for just 20,000 supporters...
beIN Sports apparently....this of FB just now... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Where can you watch the cream of European club football in 23/24, including UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League and UEFA Youth League? Why, right here on beIN SPORTS!!
Everything you need to know, including how to subscribe and where to watch more than 450 LIVE games, here
Annoying. Was assuming Sky would pick it up so there wouldn't be another subscription to pay for. I see if you are a Sky Sport customer you can get it discounted for $12.99 a month for 6 months (usually $14.99) or $119.99 for 12 months. Won't be stuff on it that I'd watch for 12 months so will probably just get it whilst Arsenal remain in the CL and cancel once we're out. I suppose it's still better than last season when it was $25 a month for Spark in addition to Sky Sport.
Also annoyed that I'll have to pay extra. Worth contacting Sky to ask if they are going to screen the Champions League. There's always some chance they will do a deal with beIN because not many people in NZ will subscribe to beIN and they may enjoy getting some revenue from Sky. Sky have just picked up the rights to the Dutch Eredivisie so may be interested in rights to other football. Contact form here: https://help.sky.co.nz/s/email-us

Sky have explicitly stated they won't be renewing with beIN
What Sky have stated (and done) is that they won't be renewing their four year deal to carry a beIN Sport channel on Sky with multiple leagues covered. There is no reason that they couldn't just pay beIN for the rights to specific content like the Champions League.
