It's on Tuesday. Live on Sky Sport 1 from 5:30.

Haven't seen any information on what the pots are though.

should just draw them out of one pot. No explanatory graphics necessary.

That's never going to happen, UEFA and CONMEBOL will never agree to it. Too risky for them.

so 1-2 confederations control how the World Cup is drawn, so that it suits them best.

Fabulous.

  • The tournament that helped launch the careers of Maradona, Messi and countless others is coming to New Zealand, and you can follow Tuesday's FIFA U-20 World Cup draw live on FIFA.com.
  • We will be streaming direct from Auckland's SKYCITY Convention Centre as the 24 hopefuls learn which teams they will face in the group stage of the upcoming global showpiece.

The draw will include an intriguing mix of familiar names and new faces, with traditional heavyweights such as Argentina, Brazil and Germany in the mix alongside debutants Fiji and Myanmar.

All will be excited to learn who stands between them and progress at the U-20 finals, which will take place across seven host cities between 30 May and 20 June.

The draw show begins at 17.30 local time and you will be able to watch it all unfold right here on FIFA.com, with updates also available on @FIFAcom on Twitter and at the official FIFA U-20 World Cup Facebook page.

Hee, hee....We'll probably end up with CAF 2, Brazil and Portugal.

Whats the reason behind doing the draw before all the qualified teams are found?

Give time for teams/FIFA to organise themselves I'd say.

Usually teams from the same confederation (except Europe occasionally) can't be in the same group...so I doubt if NZ and Fiji will be in the same group...they will manipulate somehow...I heard that they want to put Fiji in Hamilton as a business plan because it's close to Auckland (where there are a lot of Fijians) for 'crowd' purposes.  Since NZ is based in Auckland, Fiji can't be there as well.

Africa Cup under 20s is on in March, so I guess we can't wait around for them forever LOL.

which means Fiji will be in Germany's pool.

NZ vs Myanmar at Westpac on June 5th. I'm already ridiculously excited.

So what games are in Wellington? Other than Burma vs Aotearoa

Thinking we should progress through that group. Ukraine and USA will prove tough but we might sneak a point against one of them, and we should beat Burma really. Either way 3 or 4 pts plus a respectable goal difference should be enough to get through.

Three for me, and two for them.

A good draw for NZ...remember that the 4 best third place teams make it as well but I think that we can do better than that and get 1st or 2nd.  I'm happy with the teams we are getting in Hamilton...the Colombian community in Hamilton are quite lively so they could make a great atmosphere in the stadium.

Was it just me or was the audio slightly out of sync at the beginning. Hayley Holt is hot but fudgeing hell she is fake.  And what was with asking a netballer to help with the draw, what about Maia Jackman or another football fern.

The whole thing was embarrassing. No ferns player, Hay, Sumner, andRufer talking in clichés, Stan Walker performing.

As someone in Christchurch, I think it's a shame about some of the scheduling (and it applies to some games in other groups too such as Argentina vs. CAF 2 at 4 pm in Wellington on a working Thursday):

    http://resources.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/c...

I doubt if the attractive game of Germany vs. Uzbekistan will draw many punters at 4 pm on a Thursday - while the second game that day at the better time of 7 pm involves the not so appealing matchup of Honduras vs. Fiji. TV viewing figures will suffer too.

The opening game of Germany vs. Fiji is at 1 pm on the holiday Monday which is fine - but how many punters will stay around for the second game that day of Uzbekistan vs. Honduras? Reversing those games would work better.

The Christchurch semi-final is at 4 pm on a Wednesday.

Some Round of 16 games in other centres are at 4 pm too on a Wednesday or Thursday.

Sure, some school kids will come to the 4 pm games -but how many adults would leave work at 3 pm to make a 4 pm game? Not many. And not many will take time off work for a game  - only a handful of diehards.

Also TV viewing figures in NZ for 4 pm kick-offs on working days are going to suck.

Fake? Fake is a compliment. She is bloody rough and no wonder Richie gave her the flick. More manly a voice than I have

So you want 7pm and 9pm games? ok then.

Also you can't rig the draw to suit what is best. Just going to have to suck it up.
