I just acceted Vincent Jackson for Doug Martin.

I think that I have made a terrible mistake (even though Martin was totally fudgeing rubbish for me last season).

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

For my two cents I don't think it is necessarily a mistake.  Jackson is an established player & Tampa Bay have got a new QB who might be pretty awesome.  I think Jackson should put up pretty solid numbers.  Perhaps his only downside is his age.

Martin might be more of a risk for Jono.  He could be a starting RB and put up really good numbers or he might fall out of favour for Charles Sims - who you own.

In saying that Jono probably knows more about this then any of us, and given he made the trade, he must like Martin for the next couple of years.

I really wanted to stick by Martin and have him carry me to success - he owed me that after his disaster last season.

I believe you've summed up my thoughts pretty well, I am taking a risk with Martin, he showed some good things in his rookie year. If that flashed again I'd have a third great RB. He is in the final year of his contract so if he does good or great this season he will be getting a new contract somewhere, if not it cost me a 33 year old WR who was a back-up for me only...the trade was probably about even, if more risky on my end :D

A bit concerned that no promo code coming for GamePass this season, I got 15% last year from an online code I found, but nothing out there this year and just 6 days from my Vikings kick-off :D

Permalink Permalink

Yeah, I think I've automatically renewed now.  Was hoping for some sort of code, but nothing was forthcoming.

Exciting times anyway with both the Premier League and NFL pre-season starting.

Indeed. My auto renew is on August 7th, I get paid on Thursday, will keep looking through the weekend and hope something comes about...if not oh well.

Arian Foster has hurt his groin, is rumour he could be put on IR to return.

DeVante Parker & Kevin White continue to miss training camp, this is a concern for Rookie WRs as they don't generally recover from not being at training camp. All rookies have issues if they miss training camp, but WR even more so.

Confirmation: Arian Foster WILL need Surgery on his groin "Ow my finger" and will be placed at minimum on IR to return (Means he is guaranteed to miss 6 weeks)

She denies being near Texans Training Camp. She has no known alibi.

EDIT: I was wrong it is guaranteed miss 8 weeks as he would have to miss 6 weeks of practise and 2 further games after returning to practise.

Non-Injury News

Titans WRs - Looks like their season starting trio will be - K.Wright, H.Nicks & H.Douglas, meaning their rookies will be on the bench/special teams.

Texans WRs - Nate Washington looks to be the WR2 in Houston, that would see J.Strong & C.Shorts battling for the WR3 slot.

49ers D/ST - Seriously what the FUCK! Aldon Smith arrested for DUI (amongst other charges), will probably be suspended this season. Well no worries about suspension, has been released as he wouldn't accept responsibility.

Lions RB - Sounds like Abdullah is grabbibg the starting role and leaving Joique Bell for dust.

Atlanta RBs - With Coleman & Freeman both out with hamstring injuries they have signed Mike Ford.

Well they are just projected poiints for 2015, so as you'd expect you'd go backwards given you have been trading away 2015 for a future :D

the strangest was Swarlos. Dropped 40 points. Either I stuffed up last time or the situation of one or two of his players changed fairly dramatically. Most people went up slightly in projected points.

Also my RB depth is buggered now according to those updates

Arian Foster would be my assumption, Swarlos has him, would make sense that him dropping points would add up.

MyCole Pruitt with a TD WIDE OPEN.

The other came from Banyard with a 1yd run following a 62yd Punt Return from Stefan Diggs.

Looks like the Vikes Rookies can light up the offense a bit.
