The Troopers are looking pretty good to pick up the 'W' there too. I'm liking my chances too, both Forte and Blount had tough days at the office

I thought this was going to be another season of 1 win and a ton of losses. 2 wins and a close loss last week after Snead was ruled out have given me some hope.

Brees is having a bit of a shocker, keeps turning it over - Ingram not getting anything either.

can't believe Brees pulled that off in the end, and Ingram, robbed of an additional couple rushing TDs (not that I'm being greedy haha)

could the Billikids taste defeat again? a monstrous 45pts from Julio certainly helps!

Yeah it's definitely a possibility.  Might come down to how kick-ass the Vikings D will be this week (I'm hoping not very).  Just a couple of things I noticed today:

1) Anyone seen or heard from Patrick lately?  He has 4 players either injured, on a bye or not even on a team in his starting squad.  Pretty much giving wins away.  Not really much fun to play with if one team is not involved at all.

2) Jono - I was up at 2:20am this morning to check on the status of Julius Thomas as I have him in another league.  I think he was officially ruled out an hour or two before the game after being questionable all week.  I ended up switching him out in my league before the game but I noted you had him in your dynasty team when the game kicked off (so he was locked in for you at TE).

I saw that you had brought in Cameron Brate off waivers last night, but hadn't placed him in your team.  I'm thinking you probably just accidentally forgot to swap Brate with Thomas after you picked him up and so you corrected that later.  I'm happy with all of that - I just think if you use your Commish powers for yourself or others (which I presume you did unless I was just seeing stuff in my slumber), it might be best to pop a note in here or something just to explain.

Anyway, hope today's late game will be a good one for my lot otherwise tomorrow will be nail-biting.

Hey Matt,

Yeah I had hit the save button before I went to bed on Brate in my line-up, but it never stuck so I made the swap in the morning, but I should've made that note in here, I have done it for someone else before in a very similar situation where they clearly picked up a replacement and then didn't put them in.

As for Patrick, I had a discussion with him about a couple of inactive players on Thursday, but it appears he still didn't make any changes, will hit him up and see what is going on.

I think I was playing Patrick this weekend, so it was weird tracking the match up during the week. Obviously expected him to swap Jordy Nelson out before Sunday but I think he was still in there. With my terrible history in this league, I will take any W going. Having said that, I will be probably 3-1 in both of the leagues I am in (maybe even 4-0 in the other one if Kyle Rudolph has an good to excellent game).

Went to the Wembley game yesterday, and it was a great game. Loads of games over here have been blow outs, so it was great to see one going down to the last play. Only other one I can think of over here that had that was the Atlanta Detroit game a couple of seasons ago.

.

Edit to add that although the team I played still had Jordy Nelson playing, I had Justin Forsett who was a "healthy scratch" so they both got 0 points.

I processed trade with Keegan through LM as the app was not working for him, didn't realise it would process it immediately as opposed to it waiting for unlock overnight tonight...but includes me sending LOHA's second round pick to him as well.

Crazy week that, Darkwa & Mckinnon outscoring Forte & Blount  (27.8 vs 12.6) won't happen everyday!

Going to be a tough assignment next week, The saints (Ingram) on a bye leaves me fielding 2 of Darkwa, Gillislee & Mckinnon at RB, unless Arian Foster miraculously declares himself fit..fun times!

I'm keen to get my hands on a top end WR or RB or two. Have picks to trade and a few players I may let go for the right trade.

Fair warning, reports will be later this week...mostly because I am on School Holidays duty looking after my daughter & her friend, and it is actually harder to get things done than when I am at work (Shhhh :P), off to the zoo today, don't think we'll see any Giants to bludgeon, or next weeks Texans, but should see the next three opponent, Eagles, Lions & Bears.

Would imagine that the Sun Bears at the Wellington Zoo have a better defensive scheme than those from Chicago.  Probably got a better starting QB as well.

I still have no idea how they beat the Lions (And I watched the game haha)....but somehow "analysts" still think the Lions are a playoff chance haha...

I emailled both Patrick & Swarlos this week about inactivity, Swarlos gave apologies and has made changes for this week (well except his DEF but he did pick a replacement up :P), I haven't heard back from Patrick, so his team has been put under League Management (LM) for now, after the weekend I will give him another email asking if he wants to continue.

I feel it is best for me to at least make changes to the team in spirit of fairness (And outcomes in the league), Hammers got lucky in being the first up in a bye weeks :P

1999 - Gary Anderson (Seriously google it)

2001 - Vikings at Giants

2002 - Former Vikings QB Superbowl... :(

2009 - Favre throws an INT vs Saints

2015 - Walsh misses winning FG vs Hawks (Only loss in last 8 games, all opponents scored 17 or less)

http://www.nfl.com/videos/good-morning-football/0a...

Oh 2016 - Teddy Bridgewater..........

And Diggs is now DOUBTFUL!

Players who are fit/not on bye for NUCK => Jet, Gillislee, Robert Woods, John Brown, Tyrell Williams, Arian Foster (Q), Perriman & Darkwa.

Start SIX!

John Brown starts

Start FIVE haha (I feel a little bad for you, but god can anyone else you have get injured?)

hahah, what a team, all BIG names...! lean pickings for sure, I saw shady hurt his hand, but looks like he will still play, I might lean towards one of my premier RBs in Gillislee this week now, hopefully he can pick up 10+ carries.

Edit: and in a cruel twist of fate (and Dez not likely starting in week5) has me crawling back to Terrance Williams who I dropped a week or so back.. haha tough times

I put this in the trade forum on the ESPN website as well - but for those who don't look at that:

Just as a heads up to future draft pick trades - you can trade one player to another team for 'nothing' in the system - you just have to put a comment in the box at the bottom when you do it. So there is no need to trade back a player that is just going to be dropped anyway."

So for example, when I traded Sammie Coates, I labelled him as a trade and then in the comments box I noted it was for a 2017 1st (although I'm pretty sure you can put any old crap in there).  The website let me process the trade offer.

  • Romo (unlikely at the moment but he will be back)

OMG it's a Weekly Report

Week 5 Match-ups

The battle of the Brady Trade, in typical Suspension fashion, they hold on right through the suspension and then dump their player before he gets back. Tom Brady returned this week for the Boars and ripped up 400yds & 3 TD (For the 6th time in his career...not rusty). OK I'll stop picking on Keegan. The Vikes D continued to dominate (Now 5PPG more than any other DEF), and Mike Evans did a job. Lev Bell, D.Hopkins & Dwayne Allen did a job for Suspension, but just not quite enough.

This game  was dominated by Jordan Howard now working his way into the squad and pushing through with 23pts, the rest of the squad did just enough, will be hoping Cam is back from concussion this week as Lynch will just not do. The Troopers looked to be in a good position as Dalton led the way, and Carlos Hyde got himself 20pts, but some real let downs from the WRs saw this game end in a win for the Yakcalls.

A lowscoring tussle with Swarlos & the Seanucks, both actually had a WR get over 20pts with Terrence Williams & Brandon Marshall, the difference here was the Seanucks players are all on IR, while Swarlos was able to call on Odell to get them home, looking at the other single digit scores here made my head hurt, so yeah nah. Good game buds :P

A battle of two styles here, the Fairies are boom & Bust (Mariota - 30.5, Fitzgerald - 23, Olsen - 21 vs J.Bell - 0, Fuller 0.9), while the Usos were good across the board with Luck, Freeman, Jeffery, Sanders, Beasley & Hunter Henry all getting into double figures, in the end the difference was the QBs. Both teams at 2-3 and struggling in their division now.

Want to see why the Billikids are 4-1 and leading the Division, look at this game for a great example, with their old RBs out and damaged they have Zeke (31.6) & Gurley (16.3) taking charge, Big Ben leading from the front (When playing at home), and the PIT pair of Coates (29.9) & Brown (18.3) domination as WRs. The Hammers team had a pretty good week, normally 120pts is a winner (Only 18 games have been lost by someone scoring over 120, out of 160 games ~10%), a lot of zeros on the bench though.

]

The Calrissians came back from their bad run with a smashing one here, the LM had stepped in to run the team, and they have shown up for new management, turning from ~90pt weeks to 160pts in one week. Martellusaurus Rex & Adam Vinateiri led the way, but the whole team did a good job which is why they are at the top. David Johnson & TY.Hilton both at the top for Paul who have now scored the highest scoring loss of the league ever, only 2 other times has a team got over 140pts and lost ~2% all time...

Standings

The Yakcalls & Troopers would be on one side of the playoffs, and Billikids vs Boars on the other.

Draft Order

If season ended today

Round 1 YF Team Notes
1 Swarlos Rodriguez
2 Lambeau Calrissians
3 Nialls Paul
4 Rammtallica Billikids From DRUG
5 Pacific Island Usos
6 Fairfield Fairies
7 Rammtallica Billikids From LOHA
8 St Albert Seanucks
9 Gallia Boars From MET via DRUG
10 Gallia Boars
11 Mos Eisley Troopers From AY via RMTC
12 Rammtallica Billikids From RMTC via MET

Now that's my report for now, I need to do some Wk4/5 Trophies, and will try to get a screenshot of that up. Also the OCT Dynasty ADP will be out soon so I will post a "Dynasty" Power Poll, also a 2016 Power Poll based on Fantasy pros consensus rankings...

Nicely done Jono.

Tis always nice to pick up your first trophy, I'll dedicate it to Sammy Watkins, He's been instrumental in showing the rest of my squad how to injure themselves!

Decker's now joining the rest of my bench on the IR, At least Foster is looking like starting this week, surely he will hold it together for a whole game this time...right haha?

Edit: now Reed's decided to join them in the infirmary too... on the plus side, it makes selecting the team easier, there's no choosing between starters...
