See that ESPN have implemented a new Defence scoring system.  If a Defence scores against you (i.e. a pick 6 or a fumble recovery for a touchdown) then your D/ST doesn't get penalised. 

Good change. 

Yeah I think that's a fair change, especially given they're not even on the field..

Michael Floyd (GAUL) is signing with the Minnesota Vikings

For the #Vikings and new WR Michael Floyd, it's a 1-year-deal worth roughly $1.5 million with incentives up to $6M, source said.

That's a good deal, if it fails it's $1.5m, if it suceeds it's still at most $6m which is cheap for a WR these days

Yeah I'll probably give a week to get the cuts in, and then a week to process the draft, unless I do it at the same time...When I am entering draft the rosters and FAs will be locked....

I have now started sending emails to teams about cutting players, if you haven't got yours you should get it today, please respond to my email with the players you wish to cut and then I will process the changes during the draft.

I saw the email but am away at the moment so will not be able to look at this until next week - is that going to be ok?

I put June 2nd as the deadline, if that's not ok just let me know and I'll give you an extension with this knowledge :D

Trade Thoughts: I'm looking for some WR depth (Looking at a 3rd/4th WR), not worried about age, young or old if they are around 150 in ADP I'll probably be interested, am willing to give up a RB or TE for the move, send me offers through and I'll have a look as worried about my WR depth pretty badly.

Jeremy Maclin (AY, WR) released by Chiefs, huge surprise, but could be good for his value if he goes to Ravens (Other options don't look as good)

Eric Decker (LOHA,WR) will be leaving the Jets (as expected), they are trying to trade this week, will cut on Friday if no team trades for him. Will definitley be better for his value than being stuck on the Jets.

Julian Edelman (DRUG,WR) has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Patriots - 2yr extension (Thru 2019) for $11m total, $9m Guaranteed

Jeremy Maclin (AY, WR) left the Bills without a deal (Money sticking point), has visited Ravens as well, I expect back to Buffalo to sign now.

DeMarco Murray (LOHA,RB) - has had surgery on his right ring finger, would be able to play if in-season

Tajae Sharp (DRUG,WR) is slowly recovering from his injury, hoping to be fully fit for training camp

John Brown (NUCK,WR) has tweaked his Hamstring....AGAIN! Is only minor, but hamstring injuries are an ongoing issue for Brown.

Jeremy Maclin (AY, WR) signs with the Ravens, nice signing, probably hurt Wallace the most.

Eric Decker (LOHA , WR) has been released after no one traded for him, turns out that the 3 teams in the running are Ravens (YUP), Eagles & Bills. Ravens could take Decker & Maclin, that has got to be bad for Perriman's progress...

Now that the players are in training camps, and the preseason is about to start (2 Days) I will try to keep news updates on a more regular basis, this one could be quite large as I am going to include anything relevant to our league from July 1st.

Dorial Green-Backham (WR, USOS) - Released by Eagles on July 5th

Taywan Taylor (WR, LOHA) - Looks to be perfect fit in slot, but with Decker joining has dropped back.

Calvin Johnson (WR,GAUL) - Has opened up that he wants to play, but not for Lions, would need to be traded/released to come back.

Jarvis Landry (WR, SWRL) - Has confirmed he will stop extension talks once season starts, cost ~$16m to franchise tag next year

Michael Floyd (WR, FA) - Has been suspended 4 games for his DUI

Le'Veon Bell (RB, RMTC) - Was offered >$12m per season, but didn't sign, will be under franchise tag for 2017

Kirk Cousins (QB, NUCK) - Poor offer by Redskins with out after each season meant he wouldn't sign, will be franchise tag this season, expect to leave after season, Franchise tag is $34m, could be transition tagged ~$25m, but other teams can offer contracts Skins can't match.

Mike Williams (WR, IR) - The Rookie Chargers WR is likely to need season ending back surgery, worth keeping an eye on, even if doesn't have surgery this year, he will most likely need it in future. With no surgery he is now on the PUP list.

Chris Johnson (RB, FA) - Cardinals have re-signed Johnson to a 1 year deal, expect him to back up David Johnson.

Duke Johnson (RB, GAUL) - Duke is expected to move out to the slot this year with Coleman & Britt as the outside receivers in Cleveland

Rob Kelley (RB, GAUL) - Expected to start the season as the starting RB in Washington

Sammie Coates (WR, MET) - Starts Pre-Season on PUP list due to Knee Scope

Kenneth Dixon (RB, IR) - Has had to have a full repair to his knee meniscus, will miss the whole season.

Joe Flacco (QB, FAIR) - Could miss first couple of weeks of season recovering from a back injury

Martavis Bryant (WR, IR) - Bryant has not been reinstated by the NFL yet, seems to be a delay here.

Eric Decker (WR, LOHA) - Sounds like Decker will be the starting slot receiver for the Titans

Giovani Bernard (RB, NP) - Bernard has been a full participant at Training Camp, this is against previous thoughts he could miss start of season.

Isaiah Crowell (RB, AY) - Has been talking contract extension with Browns, looks like they are lining him up to be their long term RB1

Matthew Stafford (QB, NP) - Progress is slow on contract talks, he wants ~$25m per season like Carr just got. Expect deal done before Week 1.

Andrew Luck (QB, USOS) - Andrew Luck is on the PUP list, and rumours are he could even start the season there, missing up to 6 weeks, going to be a tough race to get back here.

Tyler Lockett (WR, LOHA) - Is on the PUP list due to recovery from his broken leg, he is trying to get back before preseason

Andrew Luck (QB, USOS) - The rumours are getting stronger that Luck could start the season on PUP list, this would mean he is out for 6 games.

Looking forward to see how Jordan Reed manages to pick up another concussion while receiving treatment on his toe. Maybe Mixon taking a swing at Reed's nurse and hits him instead.

Isaiah Ford (WR, MET) - Has meniscus damage in his knee, will have surgery, questions as to recovery time depending on repair, clean-up or removal, as per normal with this injury.

Jay Ajayi (RB, IR) - Has suffered a concussion at practice today.

Will Fuller (WR, FAIR) - Has suffered a broken collarbone at practice today, out indefinitely. Normally minimum of 3 months recovery, minimum is IR to return (6 weeks), could be full season.

Melvin Gordon (RB, NP) - Forrest Lamp the LT taken in 2nd round by Chargers has been carted off the field tiday

Tom Brady (QB, GAUL) - Rumours starting to surface that Brady could be traded during the next offseason (With Jimmy Getting franchise tagged)

dropping like flies, could make for a very interesting preseason as the dust settles. Reed's just getting his injuries out of the way early. No worries..

Forrest Lamp is a torn ACL, out for the season now.

Appears that the new injury was just minor damage, but have decided to now have surgery on the previous ACL tear (Minor tear), which would put him out for the season. This could be the end of Tannehill in Miami as his contract is easy to get out of in 2018...
