Fifa 08 Problems...

 

Also in Manager mode i made a substitution and after he came on, the opposition were not on the field, they were invisible!!!

 

Anyone else have these or other glitches / problems?

 

also wtf is with cov doing the robot when he scores a hat trick?

 

 

Although i do have to say the way it runs and touch of detail toards shooting and ball movment make it for a funner game..

 

Another thing i found was the fatigue in manager mode. Everyweek most of your players are fatigued!!!! And i cant find that thing where is says you contyrol trainings now!!!

The way it works is that low stat teams like the nix have really low level medical staff which means that by halfway through the season you'll be struggling to get a fit team on the field, however the bigwig teams have insane medical staff and you can pretty much run your players ragged every match and they'll be back in the green the next fixture.

 

I've spent all the money I've made with the nix on medical staff training, i'm up to level 6/10 now which is a good area since some players that go all out will still be yellow the next game but those that are fit and don't overexert themselves will be fit and ready to play in every game.

 

Fatigue is also based on the player's position and the flow of the game, if you have wing players and the game is end-to-end they'll fatigue quickly because the CPU makes them sprint to get from attacking positions back to defense and back to attack.  Even in last year's game with max medical staff I had some wings that wouldn't be able to play every game because they had to sprint around so much.  On the other hand, centre backs, some forwards and the goalie almost never get fatigued - and add to that I've never EVER seen a goalie injured or carded so having a goalie on the bench is totally pointless.

 

Of my earlier complaints I have rectified one through trial and error.  It seems that when on defense you need to press 'Q' to switch between players instead of 'S' as it was in previous incarnations.  Seems annoying as S was far easier and more intuitive, but at least I have a way of controlling that last defender to make goal saving tackles instead of being essentially a spectator.

Played online yesterday and suffered my worst defeat ever - got totally owned 8-0

 

And the fatigue in the game is just stupid. For example, say I could run 1Km, I did this every week. In 5 weeks time I doubt I could only run .5Kms because I was tired, even though I've had 5 days to recover.

 

What I'm saying, is that yes, the players bodies start to get tired etc, but they don't only manage to run half of what they could because the 6 day 'between' game didn't manage to give them their energy back? Ya know?

 

Fatigue should go back up to pretty much top between games, and should maybe come down faster in the game, so if a Wing Back has been runing around like crazy, he would be tired and you would need to sub him. He'd be able to get his energy back the next game though. :@

 

 

The other thing that piss me off is player growth.

 

You never get that 'magic 18 year old' that grows to 80ish in 1 season.
