You will have to wait. They give a good representation of our players though. With our best players actually being our best players unlike previous seasons which gave a poor representation of our players e.g Daniel as like a 64 in 09 I think and Smeltz was something crap, it won't be like that in 2010.

October 2nd and the game will be released on the various formats. If I knew how to do a countdown timer on here, I would. with the A League expansion, this version is going to be mint, especially with Ifill and Greenacre. I wonder how Rojas will play??

Well the problem is there is no way to show his organisational skills in the stats so there is no real way to show this in his overall

I have never given feedback on him (or Moss for that matter) that would effect their attributes.

Also on a side note does anyone here have a good knowledge of the Oceanian national teams?wellyphoenixfan2009-09-16 23:04:15

Yes he just got in before the cut-off date luckily. Obviously transfers like Kruse and Allsopp won't be there however if you get the release date transfer patch thing this will be fixed. Also there may be minor changes in players attributes etc.

This has all the current transfers if you download the patch. I am sure FM requires you do download something after they have shipped their database.

You should be playing PES then. Can assign attributes to players like defence control/cover something like that and players with that attribute allow for the defence to function better, improve offside trap etc.

You can show it, but just not in the Overall. There is a trait called "Captaincy" and when assigned it lets the keeper take better command in the box. I have just been too busy to get this added.

Remember to get the release day patch which will give changes to stats and formations guys. I think the Phoenix have quite a major change and a few stat tweaks aswell as other teams (Such as Allsopp leaving MV) and other leagues in the game.

Will we be able to get this patch after the release date?

Culina is rated at 71. Bit high imo. Wonder if you will be able to score goals with the phoenix in fifa 10. In fifa 09 it was almost impossible to score with low rated teams - the ball just seemed to float aimlessly into the air with no power (even when you tap the shoot button.) Just because teams are low rated doesnt mean they cant score long range, driven, powerfull goals. Hope this is fixed.

Really looking forward to this game now. If anyone has xbox live and wants a game ill be more than happy. Could maybe even start an online club if anyones up for it.

Don't believe everything you read...

Also how often have you seen goals scored from long range in the A-League? Not to mention I cannot remember a single long range, driven, powerful goal in the A-League. Most goals scored in the A-League are scored in the box.

Felipe in season 1, Ahmed Elrich (FML) scored quite a nice one aswell and then there was the Leo Bertos bloke.

Thats 3 off the top of my head.

None against Paston though. His defense is organised too well.

They are not what I call long shots just shots outside the box and Leo's was a free kick.

Some very good goals. Quite a few would be added from this season though, Fowlers and Bertos' sping to mind. Very few long shots Santalab of course was quite well known for this. Don't know if they were powerful and driven though.

Players who are good at long shots will be good at long shots in the game but this doesn't mean you can score from these distances with every player or even many players.wellyphoenixfan2009-09-23 19:13:13

Melbourne v Brisbane earlier this season?

Hernandez against us?
Leo against Perth?

That's a few just off the top of my head. From this season, let alone the last few years.

Free kicks are not long shots, atleast not in FIFA games.

Hernandez's was not a real long shot El G.. Bringing it back to the game it is unrealistic to expect to get long shots in whenever you want with A-League players that do it perhaps once or twice a season.

Perhaps my view of long shots is too long wellyphoenixfan2009-09-23 20:22:49

To me anything 25 yards or over is long, but you're involved with the game, so obviously know better how that works in the game.

As I said perhaps my view of long shots is too long.

If these are the types of shots that the guy meant - not my view of long shots - then these are possible to get. Of course you would require top players to get these types of goals like Hernandez, Smeltz, Culina...

To bad theres no ACL in fifa - this would make the a-league much more fun to manage. Hopefully EA will introduce this in later fifa games. Will there be play-offs this year in the a-league?

yeah i get what he means though, the players in the A-league in 09 were pretty sh*te.
If i played with the nix on legendary or world class then finishing was absolutely impossible with smeltz and kwasnik..however, on professional it was far too easy.

Imo the A-league players are also far too slow. Phillipe Senderos was faster than any nix player on 09   If there is any stat where the A-league players could keep up with the EPL guys it would be speed, but they all still had ratings of around 50/60.

This problem was meant to be fixed however I am not entirely sure if it has as I have not checked the speed stats. However the major problem is that if you increase speed you increase the overall so then people will complain the overalls are too high. You see the problem?

As an editor for the Oceanian national teams I often have to have speed lower then it is because of the effecct on the overall.

Thats true. That is one of the rare flaws in fifa. Without amazing creativity i cannot see how this can be fixed in the near future.
