One thing I have noticed is I get naf all free kicks but the oppo get plenty. I got so peeved against Sheff united I did slide tackles till 5 of my players got sent off and the game abandoned. I lost 3-0 as a result and not 7-2 that it was at the time! hehehe

Oh and HN, drew 0-0 with Ipswich which if every chance had gone in instead of off the woodwork it would have been a 6-5 game.

This game rocks and it's great to hear all the players names, adds to the atmosphere. I wonder if it'll snow in mid winter or will it still be tropical as in the past??

Started manager mode career with Shrewsbury. Had a horrible first season and got sacked.... just avoided relegation to the non-league . Signed with Hereford and all is going well at the moment, 7th in league two (round 12.) After failing about 15 attempts to arrange transfers with many players I managed to score 2 quality strikers. One is big and strong and very effective in the air while the other is quick and skillfull. Having to constantly rotate squad though which is an issue - fitness levels low.

Ring Ricki and recommended them!! Will try manager mode tomorrow.

My PC barely breaks minimum system requirements, hope it's worth it. I've owned every FIFA game since 97 (except RTWC 2002) and never felt let down.

Finally got to play this game. Very good I must say! For those with the PS3 (Might apply for Xbox 360) do you find it hard to shot with a normal shot?

It takes just the lightest tap of the B button in the 360. Scored some good goals, haven't managed to lob a keeper yet but did hit a terrific own goal on the turn from 18 yards!

Thanks LG. Another thing I have had trouble with is crossing. Generally I have to take the lightest of touchs to work but when I go for a deeper cross I get way too much curve on it.Is the curve determined by what you do with the analog stick once the ball leaves the player?

yes it is, again pressing the X button lightly or hard, determines the distance/power. There's video tuitorials on the game disk that explain it better and they are only short 2-4 minutes long.

World class is pretty tough.. In manager mode after three seasons I have yet to get past league two....

I just started manager Mode with QPR and playing preseason friendlies. Just found out to get into the practice arena with XBox 360, on the main screen where your on your own on the pitch, press your SELECT button and the menu appears. DOH, took me ages to get that one. Someone on a forum helped. mind you, i wasn;t the only one who couldn't find it.

To get to the penalties, choose set peices and the drag the football from the centre circle spot onto the penalty spot. For the nix it has greenacre as the auto selected one. To change him, you hold down the RT and a drop down list apears. Oh and to kick a penalty you power up with the B button. If you hold the direction button to where you want to kick it while powering up your shot, it will bend the ball. Lonegunmen2009-10-04 21:52:09

A slightly inform Smeltz is better than a Slightly out of form Michael Owen. So I bought him into the EPL and he headed in a corner after coming on in the 50th minute for United. Loool.

Good  one Michael, At least Smeltz is not injury prone.

Press Square + analogue direction. If you face it towards the goal you are attacking it swings in that direction. Away from the goal and the ball with curve out. Generally I've been finding crossing pretty hard though and none of the nix players can header well!

Finished 2nd in my first a-league season on World class with the Nix. Bloody hard to score crosses and fitness is a real problem. The transfers are much more realistic but make it much harder to build your team. Bring on the playoffs.
