In case anyone didn't notice, choose the secondary commentary teamfor the A-League. The main commentary only knows Ifill, the secondary duo know most of the team and though they pronounce Durante "durant" they're otherwise the ones to go with.
"Emmanuel Muscat"
Going to get my copy on the weekend. So can you take the Nix out of the A league and put them in the lower leagues of say England??
yes i do believe so

I've just done this today. I put the Phoenix in League 1. Going to go and try get to the Premier League then the Champions League.
What is the best way to play the game? Shall I play some competitions against the computer to help build up my tekkersbefore heading into the online world? Is it worth doing the tutorials?
What you'll find Frankie is the majority of the online community use the same teams. Barca, Real, United or City. Very little variation from those 4 (Chelsea perhaps). Then you'll find that most people who use these teams are rubbish at FIFA, and with a little practice you can regularly dick them with teams such as the Nix or others with only a 1 or 2 star rating. Finally you'll come across chumps who quit on you as soon as you establish a comfortable lead (or sometimes even before that).

Pretty Much this.

the impact engine thing is just plain annoying, im having my own players running into me left right and center and the flailing around on the ground like they are possessed by some demon.
Enjoying Ultimate team very much!, though im still struggling to defend as i did with the demo but none the less im very impresed.
yeah the tackling is a little bit over the top - the idea is there but they havent executed it properly its much too difficult, hopefully they will patch it
Should we start up an online club?
what are people's psn's would be sweet to play some games.

I quite like the way it shows the match ratings and such at the end of the game with the little photos of the players faces. Even more impressed that they bothered to do that for teams beyond the premiership, though it makes it stand out more when players like Pantelis and Moosecat don't have the headshots.
I'm kind of amused that Nick Ward was still in the nix in FIFA12, then a day or two later he's confirmed to be back in the squad for real.

can you fill your created team with created players?
Yeah assuming you want to create them all. Or you can use other peoples created players or from the official ea database. I ended up putting official database players in such as Killen vicelich clapham brockie etc then signing random spaniards to be just like ACFC. there is scouting and youth squads again too.
Wellington are coming first in the support your club season. yay. 296th out of 515 overall.
My psn is jarrod17 btw.

They've also got the a-league shirt numbers too for the first time. Aswell as the a-league captains armband. clap clap ea.
Some impressive stats from the first week http://www.ea.com/uk/football/news/fifa-12-biggest-launch-ever-02
3.2million sold.
170 years worth of online gaming so far.
Manchester United may have 250000+ supports in support your club and that's why I went with welly. cause their is so many their sh*t (the fifa players, not the club ) and they were relegated in the first season.JarrodM2011-10-05 21:15:50

I'm really enjoying it aye, the fact that the new defending system really encourages you to take people on is gold. The passing is much improved to, i.e. if there is a player in the line of your pass, they pass to the side into space...logical stuff like that.
Best FIFA yet in my opinion given how much it's changed from the last few years.

Tackling was a nightmare for me at the start, but after making the right decision of changing my career mode camera to 'be a pro' it's actually made it a lot easier.
Sorry if this has been posted earlier:
Down at the bottom of the article @ 0:55 in.
Cameron Lindsay is rated 65 on FIFA12. Expected to have to make the kid, turns out he's on the books of Blackburn on the game and is a right back.
Loving the crowd when you keep the ball while you are winning and the ole's come out!
Awkward how when you scout New Zealanders they all have the last names of current All Whites. Was alright at the starting signing Lochhead's 'brother' but I didn't need Ben and Marco Boyens
Hows the impact engine looking now? Not as buggy as the demo I hope? Still yet to pick up fifa 12, am working on it..
I've only played about 3-4 hours of Fifa 12 but I'm really happy with the changes they've made, especially the new defending system although its gonna take me a while to get used to it, especially now that there's a pressure AND tackling button which resulted in the second defender button being changed (bit of a button mash on defence sometimes!).
Agreed that the general pace of the game seems to be more realistic and the impact engine is pretty cool. Game seems to have less predictability.
Went straight into Ultimate Team... assembled an A-League based bronze team trying to do the tourneys haha, I got Marco on my team too!!

how do you go about doing this? i created a team but cant seem to figure out how to play as them in career mode. can only see the 'replace team' option when doing a one off tournament e.g. premiership, fa cup or hyundai a league.
in career mode i can only see the 'swap team' option where you swap a team with an existing team e.g. swapping phoenix and blackburn so the nix play in the premiership
have to say FIFA 12 is definatly a step up from FIFA 11, the general gameplay is brilliant, the main menu screens have been improved not too mention the different options now available in career mode e.g youth recruitment IMO is a great addition.
first attempt at career mode is turning into a shambles shamefully went Man City to try and 'buy' the league, brought in several top players mainly to shore up the defence, toure+ lescott = CRAP
currently sitting in 9th position after 28 games, surprised i havnt been sacked yet
but overall loving the game, shame work keeps getting in the way

Can you only create your own team if your can get online??

Have just started with the Nix in league 1. Looking forward to it
Alright, bought this last night and played 2 games as the Phoenix. Went 1-0 up against San Jose and then lost 3-1, and then lost 4-0 to Liverpool (who was controlled by a 9 year old in India).
What is the best way to play the game? Shall I play some competitions against the computer to help build up my tekkers before heading into the online world? Is it worth doing the tutorials?
I am old and confused.
Also, what should I set my......um......settings to? Is it better (cheating) to make the human controlled players faster?

Made a New Zealand team in ultimate team last week, just started to play with them and boy they're class. Won the last 4 games with them with hat tricks from Smeltz, Rojas and Elliot.

What I am not sure came across is that I am completely mince at FIFA 12. Really, really shocking. Players dribbling into advertising hoardings, shots going for throw-ins, keepers rolling it to opposition centre forwards terrible. A bit like the real Phoenix in season 1.
For me to get to a least a little bit decent would require about 4 hours practice a week, and as I didn't put that much effort into my real football career, I cannot see it happening here.
the impact engine thing is just plain annoying, im having my own players running into me left right and center and the flailing around on the ground like they are possessed by some demon.
and another thing, it seems i can never beat anyone for pace, playing as chelsea not 1 of my players could outpace some random left back from chesterfield. this seemed odd to me, so i created a player with speed and acceleration at level 99. played some random league 1 team and still, the would be unable to beat anyone for pace, with or without the ball.
oh and once again the commentary is just woeful, but has been the same for quite some time now so i wasn't expecting much on that front anyway

OMG I hear you completely.
If this is a simulation, then Sigmund and Durante need to quit football and join the UFC, because their takedown offense is exceptional.
If I ever see half the sh*te that happens on FIFA happen this season then I'm going to throw my controllers at them too.
