I see details come out in 3 day.

Not sure if they did last version but they are using Frostbite - if you've played or seen Battlefield, you know just how good this is.

Exciting stuff!

I was pretty disappointed with fifa16. So for me to get the next version I'm going to want to see some changes.

The PS3 version of FIFA 16 was so full of bugs. I hope that now, having  a PS4, the game will actually be an improvment of past versions. Would like to see some changes in the career mode to make it more realistic too. In the last versions they've been only improving Ultimate Team

Told myself I wouldnt get sucked into EA sports again but here I am and quite enjoying fifa 16 apart from the buying player packs bullshark. And even winning the drafy games get awarded crap gold players...however do enjoy playing against friends and am looking forward to Fifa 17

One other complaint is the transfer market being rigged by players, bots and coin sellers

FIFA 17 has a full on story mode as you take a player through career choices and the ins/out of being a youth signing at various clubs. Looks interesting and game also has manager animations (Pep, Klopp, Mou and co)

Will "Frostbite" also be on the 360 version or will there not be a 360 version and everything becomes an XBox One version now??

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

...and given that Xbox have just announced two new console releases (one a spec'd up Xbox One, one a totally new machine) I would assume the days of games being made to suit the 360 are now gone.

Story mode looks interesting, would be good if you have some choice of who you sign for. The trailer showed him building up to playing for Man United which I doubt I'd enjoy investing any time in.

You can choose the team.

"Alex is a 17-year-old from humble roots in Clapham, London who has football in the blood. Guided by his grandfather and English legend Jim Hunter (20 goals in the 1966-67 season), Alex has a name that carries weight in football circles, obstacles to overcome, and a personal legacy to build. Alex now has a promising footballing career in front of him, but how far can he go? That’s up to you.

It's a new season and touted young academy prospect, Alex Hunter is looking to make his mark in the Premier League. But this season you decide which team he plays for. You make the decisions off the pitch. And you shape his career with your performance on the pitch.

Powered by Frostbite™, The Journey is a new cinematic narrative mode in FIFA 17 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, that lets you make your mark in a true-to-life experience as a professional player. Developed with Premier League stars like Harry Kane, Eden Hazard and Anthony Martial, in The Journey you can choose to play at any club during the 2016/17 season, for real managers and alongside some of the best players in world football."

Cool, sounds like it could be fun. I basically only play Online seasons anyway so would be cool to try a different mode. I've tried the career mode a few times where you create your own player and work him through the reserves into the first team etc but usually end up getting bored of only controlling one player and give up on it.

Yup, same here. Got a long way into Ultimate Team on FIFA 14 but could never afford the top players to really challenge in Division 1.

Just saw the trailer for the journey. Looks interesting and hopefully it can refresh the game a bit as I think it's gone a bit stale. Would be cool if there was something similar for the career manager

i think the game needs to go back to the basics and get the bugs out. There are not many left.

The stupid reward cards crap and buying players stuff is just so out of hand and annoying. I just want to be able to assemble a team of players that say an issued budget would allow me to compete. And like in manager, depending on your success, you get a bigger budget to improve the squad. They have taken something pretty simple and really made it annoying.

Perhaps EA might be better served by learning how to punish wankers that use either man united or barcelona stacked with the best players around against some guy that plays with someone like Halifax. They end up either wanking off at a 20-0 win or worse still, they pull their modem plug when they are losing 3-0 and 2 minutes to go. Those sorts of players should have their ip banned for 12 months.

Only problem with the story is that it looks almost identical to the same thing that was done with the NBA2K games  even the cutscenes are eerily similar from the little they've shown. In saying that, if one hasn't played NBA2K16 then my point is moot.

Haven't played any basketball games since nba jam ( the finest ever sporting game imo) What's the story line like?

Basically, young guy gets recruited by colleges, plays in College, gets drafted and takes his friends along for the ride. Scenes from the FIFA 17 trailer where he and his mates are in his flash new apartment are almost identical

So shark that the cover for NZ and AUS always has messi and 2 aussies, in fifa 15 it was some random chick that no one knows not even aussies do  and bloody tim cahill. It should be messi/whoever with reid and cahill that sounds fair.

The All Whites have been taken out from FIFA. Just to add two female national teams which are useless. Bullshark

No OFC teams and the only team already qualified for the confederations cup (CAF still TBD) not in the game.

It's not a matter of "deserving" to be in the game, it's a matter of the governing body providing the rights to the makers of the game. For whatever reason that didn't happen this year (may have been EA not bothering to ask, or it may have been NZF saying no).

With Iceland, the Iceland FA wanted to negotiate but EA couldn't be bothered so just didn't include them

About to guy buy FIFA17

To FUT or not to FUT, that is the question. $30 difference for a bunch of gold packs...

if you are really keen on FUT and would play it a lot well worth the extra, if you just play it now and again then not so much.

I've done ok previously on FUT without needing a ton of packs so maybe I'll go for the cheap one. Can always buy more if I start to get more serious about it

what is good or interesting about FUT? as in why should i play it? all i play fifa for is the career modes or to settle bets with mates, so i've never branched out to FUTs

You purchase, trade and transfer players to create the best team you can and then play online or offline to move up the leagues. You can purchase tokens to get better players or you can earn them along the way.

It rewards you for not only having the best players but also for players with good chemistry between them.

It can be frustrating at first until you get how to set your team up and how to add items like training, skills boosts and certain managers but once you get the hang of it, it can be very rewarding.

i been trying to find a team for ps4, played a few drop in matches and looked at a few random clubs, was going to start a club but i only have one other mate with a ps4 and he is not on line very often so not much point creating a club without any players.
