Old school!, talk about old school - FIFA 07 PS2 had FIFA International Soccer (From the Sega Megadrive) on it as a game.

Brian Plank scores again!

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

i use to love the 1997 1998 and 1999 versions it was cool how you use to be able to nail the keeper with the ball but the indoor was fun they should bring it into 2009. but i guess fifa street is suppose to be the new indoor part.

didnt fifa 97 have David Ginola (while he was at newcastle) on the front?

Fifa 98 Road to the world cup was the best Fifa release, it had every international team you could think of. I took Nauru to the World Cup final and beat Brazil. Had indoor, could easily customise players/teams easier than with fifa 07. It had way more content than is found in todays releases.

i still have world cup italia 90 on sega master system 2 and it still works! fired it up over the holidays for a laugh (along with Golden Axe and Paperboy) funny seeing a soccer game that doesnt have england in it!

You know I think I had Italia '90 as well, though I think my version was on the classic Atari Commodore 500.

And I agree that Road to World Cup '98 has got to be up there with the Fifa Greats...(just wondering...was Holland in it? or were they the orange team due to naming rights or whatever issues the Dutch team often seem to have with Fifa games?). Indoor was great except for the fact that you only needed 2 players sent off to lose the match!!! what a rip-off

Out of interest, how about Adidas power soccer where you could kick the ball so hard the keeper fell into the net with it....?

Nostalgia

brilliant! adidas power soccer was massive!

actua soccer 2 was another goody, me and my cuzzies figured out how to
bang in 50 yard rockets with Leonardo from Brazil, top drawer! even if they
graphics and commentary were pooz.

my fave FIFA title is the old Mega Drive version, the 45 degree angles view
where it was easier to score playing "up" than "down"

yes i remember that game, there were also cheats that could be put in on the options screen to give such advantages as the glass wall rule (the ball bounces off the sidelines like an indoor field) the banana curve ball and such like....

I think the first Fifa game i played must have been 94 or 95 on PC, the two worst teams being Qatar and New Zealand I believe

I got FIFA 2002 PS1 edition and it has an indoor mode. You have 2 unlock it though. You can also give the players huge heads, get a massive ball and a ball that goes crazy. Its a great game

Well, since everyone's reminiscing, I have to plug for FIFA 99 - the only game where you could dive in the box and get penalties...once I just went into the box with no-one near me, dived, and got a penalty. It was class.

Haha it's funny because i cranked out my megadrive the other day.
I remember looking back on the games like they were amazing.
Except PS2 and PS3 are so advanced that megadrive looks like a few blobs going round a green area
