FIFA World Cup 2010 Game

Got demo today. Gameplay feels real good. Scored an 89th Minute goal with Torres and the crowd with crazy was cool.

Its a cool game, just wish more teams were in the demo to be honest.

just a quick heads up WESTPAC STADIUM or any other nz stadiums ARE NOT in the game.

It's not going to be released on PC SB. PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii only.

Pretty good I reckon. Little improvement over fifa 2010. Better shots. And how good was it seeing the NZ flag when you start it up?

I assume a generic stadium is one they have the name rights for but haven't made it look like the real thing? It's a shame there is no RoF, even North Harbour would have been better than nothing, or QEII for that matter... to be honest I'd have settled for English Park/Newtown Park/Kiwitea St.

Nah Passing has improved as well, you'll notice the ball isn't stuck to the ground.

I think we'll find playing with sh*t teams is far more challenging than it use to.

Player ratings will be a bit different but for NZ and Australia etc the changes are not that big. If you got the club update in January it will be more or less the same as that.

Got mine ordered. $89 not to bad at all. Some places were selling it for $120.

Yeah I just scooted around all the websites and that was the cheapest I could find. I'd like to save an extra $10 if I can though

Thoughts from the demo...

Keep in mind though the demo is almost never the same as the finished product. It's just as much for us to see it as it is for them to get feedback.

Son picked up game at 4pm this arvo, cant seem to drag him away from it now .. graphics look amazing.

How does the online world cup work??

First you say where your from as everyone is against everyone so I'm New Zealand... But the team I play as can be any team so say I want to take American Samoa to glory, Then you play 4 games against 4 randoms and the games are recorded in a table. So much like the world cup the 4 teams all play each other, then the computer simulates the other games. You play 3 other random people from around the world who can be any team for Togo to Solomons Island. Then the top two from the pool go against another human based player and so on.CboZ2010-05-01 11:59:43

I reckon the overall realism of the goals I'm scoring has improved dramatically. Good passes and thoughtful build up is rewarded.
