Cool, I might be able to get it done this evening but I do need to prioritize my schoolwork so it might end up being tomorrow.

This made me laugh (I'm a teacher), but you are so clearly more capable and beyond me with technology it's funny!! And you have a whole page of 'educated adults' thankful for your obvious skills and nous.

I'll take that as a compliment. Though I don't think 'can make face packs for football manager 2020' isn't exactly one to go front and center on my CV unfortunately.

It was a compliment.

So three years ago, on FM20 I brought a young Aussie defender from the NIX for 325k with 20% sell on clause.

I just turned down a 133 million offer for him from Man City... only because I don't like Man City, otherwise it would have been one hell of a profit.

Feel free to ship him off to Wolves!

I bought this with the lockdown in mind but I only started having a go 4 weeks ago. I got QPR into the Playoff final where we lost 2-1 to Leeds. I was expected to avoid relegation but played a 4-2-3-1 formation and surprised every other team just about after a nervy start.

Through this game I sent Hugill back to West Ham because he couldn't score in a brothel and loaned 21 year old Patryk Klimala whom scored 21 goals for me. I'm just about to start my second season and got him back on loan for another season. I wish the real QPR would get him, we need a goalscorer.

I'm addicted to this game again. Using a Fame Laptop with 6 gig of DDR4 Ram, 512 Gig SSD and a 4 Gig Nvidia card. It eats it up!

I paid $7 for the "Editor" but can't figure out how to get into it. Last time I played this game was about 6 years ago and it was easy to do. But on my main menu it doesn't say "Editor" but when I click on downloads, it acknowledges I have it. Help please. I want to make Loftus Road look more like Loftus Road and not like Stoke City or Wolves ;)

The pre-game editor is free - you get it automatically when you buy each FM. This allows you to change every aspect about the database before you start a save, i.e. Loftus Road, creating new players/clubs/leagues, etc., and you can access it via the Steam menu.

The in-game editor is the one that costs $7 and it allows you to edit some, but not all, aspects of your save on the fly, e.g. moving players to different clubs, changing a player's ability, club's finances, etc. It's accessible on the top left of your FM screen, just to the left of the date. Sorry mate, Loftus Road won't be any more real unless you start a new save :/

So where do I find the pregame editor please? Is it on the screen or in the file directory some where? I love Loftus Road, it gives you no leg room in real life so not only do you give the club money from your ticket but you really do spill blood for your club if you are over 5'5" tall and cut your knees on the back of the seat in front of you as you get up or down.

Found the ingame editor but not the pre-game full on one.

It should be under "Tools", which you can find in a drop-down menu in your Library on Steam (I assume that's what you bought the game on?)

Will have a look when I get home. I found the $7 one next to the date. Could hardly the very little icon like a pencil. Thanks for that tip. Gave my club a financial boost to bring up a reasonable transfer fund.

Is this correct?

"The FM 2020 Editor also known as the FM20 pre-game data editor is a powerful editing tool that allows the user to modify the Football Manager 2020 database.

It is available for free as a separate download for anyone who has bought FM20 through Steam library under tools.

How to find it in a glance:
Open Steam -> Library -> Tools -> Football Manager 2020 Editor

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: To find and download the pre-game editor for Football Manager 2020, you'll need to log into the Steam desktop app first.

Step 2: On the top-left menu (Store/Library/Community/User), go on Library.

Step 3: Select "Games" then tick "Tools".

Step 4: You will now see a number of titles, just scroll down to Football Manager 2020 Editor, right click on it and finally select install.

The download will now proceed, and you'll be able to use it."

Has anyone edited the pre-game database so that the Nix can qualify for the ACL (or Oceania Champions League)?

I think you need to be top 2 in the A-League, or the winner of the FFA cup to qualify.

Potential issue that the ACL restricts non-Asian players as imports, so all the Kiwis would have to be imports.

I can't find this on the Steam workshop.

IIRC it's hardcoded into the game and there's no way to change it :/

I'm having fun. Into my 3rd season - 1st in the premiership via the playoff final. Currently 15th with 7 games to go. If I don't get relegated, I'll keep my job.

Thanks.

Wonder if you could work around it using the Create-a-club option to make a "fictitious" Phoenix...

that's a possibility but they'd have to be based in an Asian confed country right?

I don't think there should be any issues qualifying for the AFC Champions League, but don't quote me lol. I believe the only thing stopping foreign clubs from qualifying is specific scripts for each team telling the game not to let it happen, i.e. with the Nix, and for FC Vaduz in Switzerland so they can't qualify for the UCL as a Swiss team

Hey Paul,

Unsure if you are still looking for one, but I managed to throw together a quick Hyundai A-League database update which includes a new team based in Dunedin (Southern Kings), and has Macarthur FC starting in the first season.

Here is the link if you want to check it out: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetail...

Southern Kings don't have a proper logo as I am not a whiz with computers and it is also harder to create them on Mac than it is to on Windows.

Hope you like it :)

For fun, I used the editor and suddenly, Man U, Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Arsenal all have serious debt problems, poor facilities and poor popularity. It's taken 2 seasons but Chelski (Imagine what will happen should the Russian leave and cash in his 750 Million pounds + of interest free loans he has against the club), are fighting relegation, Man U are selling off so many players to raise funds to pay their players wages etc. Has made the game more fun.

In my game, City just got docked 9 points for entering admin. God knows how they can pay their players, there's no money other than debt.
