Lads (and lasses),

For my sins I am one of the NZ Researchers for the Football Manager series of games, feeding in to the guys that do Aus and the A-League.  Last year pretty much two of us covered the NZFC, the Knights and other NZ players and it almost killed us.

If anyone wants to give us a hand send me a PM as we're going to try and clean up the whole NZ player base and have a think about how we represent the NZFC and some winter football.

Particularly interested in anyone who watched Otago week in and week out in the NZFC.

As I say, send me a PM with an email address and what sides you watch and might be able to give us a hand with if you are keen.  Danny and aus folks, if you think you could do some State League work let me know as well and I'll put you in touch with the Aus researchers.

NZK & C (John), if you are on here send me an email, let me know if you are still okay to cover Canterbury and a bit more.

I'll do myself.

Three for me, and two for them.

It was here, I saw it on Lambton Quay and at Queensgate.

Do enough research and I might be able to do something about finding 2008 here for you at a very good price.

When i rang Gamesman near Queensgate about fm07 they said they had only brought in 1 copy and it was a presale. Luckily there was 1 copy of it at Electronics boutique on xbox 360

Cool job!

I've not played FM for years, spent many, many, many, many etc hours playing it before we had the kids, not much time these days...sigh!

Quite fancy sparking a new season up now though...um!!  I can just hear the missus giving me grief already.

I am actually playing 2007 as Watford at the moment (I always choose a random team).  Relegated from prem in first season, but promoted back with 4 games to go in second.  I have 2 games to go to see if me or Wigan win the league.

Anyone recommend any decent signings now back in prem?

hard news, what's your sim game of choice?  fifa or pes?  personally for me it's fifa, mainly because i have yet to discover the world of customising pes.

anyway, do you know anyone who makes fifa or pes nz or australian kits?

I have come to the concluion over the years that i am rubbish at Sim games so I stick ot the tactical ones.

I might be wrong, but I think Jaza who is on here may work on FIFA so you could try PMing him for NZ /Aus stuff.

Can offer you no stats, but would be internally grateful if you could keep us updated on when FM08 will be out.

I won't even blame you when my wife leaves me on account of my addiction for the game.

Cheers

Any day now, and you are near the top of my list for recruits...

I've been oofficially appointed the Head Researcher for Oceania so when the database is released again everyone who has even thought of putting a hand up is getting a call.

Cheers Guys.

Hopefully early next week I'll get an email out with an agenda of what we're doing.  I suspect our first activity will be to look at the NZ player base (and if anyone knows anything about islands football that as well) and work out who is in there that no longer plays and remove them, and check the data of those in there who do play but have not had an NZFC or international update for the last few years.

NZFC is tricky as the database has to be complete well before the squads are finalised so we need to keep on top of any confirmed moves like todays Manawatu ones.
