Anyone else got it? what are your thoughts?

I know not strictly football gaming...

I've got it today, but cannot play it till tomorrow (My PS isn't at this house) So keen. 25 Kill Streak gives you a nuclear bomb this year hah!

Yeah its crazy... takes heaps of work though, cause you only get to choose 3 Kill streaks and there's fifteen !

:o That would hurt getting 25 and not having it active!

A graphic and violent video game where the player assumes the role of a terrorist to massacre dozens of innocent people, is tipped to be one of the best-selling games this Christmas.

The R18-rated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released in stores on Tuesday and has already proved popular with gamers.

However, the game has come under scrutiny abroad for one level which allows the player to take part in a massacre of civilians in a Russian airport.

In the scene, which even hard-core gamers say is "disturbing", the player exits an elevator with a team of kevlar-wearing terrorists all armed with machine guns.

The group first opens fire at passengers queuing at a check-in counter, killing dozens of men and women.

The terrorists then walk through the airport, shooting everyone in sight. Injured civilians are shot as they crawl through trails of blood, as the screams of those being targeted rise in the background.

Yeah we just finished the mission, it actually gives you the option to skip it without punishment.

It was quite sad having to shoot innocents, but you're actually working undercover for the U.S. Military. Its a weird mission, I'm not exactly going to start crying over it though.

Have you played the game?
You're not a terrorist. You're undercover. The game gives you two chances to not play the level if you opposed to it. Whilst I think its almost too far for a video game, it is an interesting and disturbing situation. Should you kill these people now to save many more lives later or blow your cover and ruin months of work?

Did campaign in about 6 hours I believe. Pretty good. IGN says its too short, but I think its the best story line in a FPS for a long time.

With the Airport, I found it somewhat a good lesson, and kind of knocks you in the face about what you're actually doing in these games.

Yeah, it's about the 4th level. Don't worry though, comeuppance is assured. And you are able to skip levels if you feel uncomfortable about shooting up Russian airports.

I'm stuck on the next level now. Dirty Brazilian streets, shooting bad Brazilians.

Actually, I'm not really stuck. I just got killed by a grenade and gave up, went back to Multiplayer land.

A fine way to spend ones birthday.

FARK. It all sounds MINT but I can't play it because my brother is in the middle of his year 12 exams so i'm avoiding it so I can help him focus!

Just get it anyway, send brother to a motel or something (his expense).

was gonna buy it but then saw the price!!! jeepers.... Gutted to hear story mode is only 6 hours long too.... pretty short imho

Where did you go? 120 isn't cheap but its cheaper than ebgames and gamesman.

Also you can put up with the short story line because its an epic story. If you want it to last longer put the difficulty up.Michael2009-11-15 12:24:59

And Spec ops is like more single player stuff that could take up to another 6 hours of your time at least. Plus you can do co-op on it. Not to mention online which is making study very hard for me right now.

Warehouse has the pc and Xbox360 & ps3 at $118, the Xbox 360 was allegedly down from $148 !! not sure about the pc or ps3 old prices.

Dissappointed. $80 is enough to get to Wellington and back.

I got it on ps3. Playing multi online is addictive. Play campaigns sometimes,though quite rarely.
