september 27th i think the stadium template is on cricket 07 and rugby 07 so it wouldnt be too hard to do i guess

that is great! bummer its not for PES. a quick patch is all you need, and the gaming is soooo much better. meh. guess i can handle FIFA for a few quick games :)

they wont have Westpac on it folks, lets be realistic. there are plenty of top stadiums around the world likely to get there before the ring of fire.

Of course you can play online on a PS2 - I've played FIFA 07 online on a PS2

it wudnt be hard for them to put westpac on their bearing in mind the did for Rugby 08, i played it yesterday and the stadium (Caketinos) looked pretty awesome. Surely EA could just port that over to the FIFA08 game, i'm pretty sure they'd be using the same engine for all the 08 games (NFL etc).

im not disputing that they couldnt make the ring of fire, more a case of getting it on there

...think about it, if every team of every top flight had their home stadium on the game you'd get about 4 discs for the game, not 1.

dont forget Rugby 08 probably sold mostly in NZ so its applicable

i disagree gings, each country rugby 08 is sold in has a diff cover athlete much like fifa08 will. rugby 08 will be massive in the uk with all the hype around england being contenders and the irish being rugby mad at the mo apparently.

Indeed it seems unlikely we'll see the Westpac Stadium specifically in Fifa 08, they may do a generic stadium reasonably similar - its about time they figured out they can palette swap the seats to the team color y'know.  Then again Fifa crowds are always chocka but I guess you don't see them -that- much so its no biggy.

I am a long time Pro Evolution Soccer addict, converted from FIFA in 2005, but the fact that the Hyundai A-League, more specifically Wellington Phoenix FC, will be on FIFA 08 this year and the preview videos I have seen for both the upcoming  PES and FIFA games means I shall be buying FIFA 08 this year. EA Sports have taken full advantage of the next-gen consoles, where as Konami have just seemed to have used the PS2 game engine and snazzed up the graphics a little.

yea im more of a pro evo man but being the phoenix is enough to convert me.... however its disapointing they wont b very good in the game

Phoenix is all go, with an improved NZ base to sign players from.  Still a few holes in the A-League rules but it should be much better than 2007 was.

Why wouldn't they? EA have the model of the Stadium in Rugby 08 - surely it isn't too difficult to port.

They can't have every stadium it would waste too much space. Its not a matter of if they can make it or not, its a matter of how much space they have left.

what happens with the new players how will they get elrich in the team
