I can't wait for 08.  Have already placed my order.  I've also heard rumors that the NZFC may be playable.  HN do you know more?

No.  Playable NZFC is unlikely in the immediate future. 

If the Aussies get the state State leagues playable under the A-League we might manage it, but it's a nightmare with the NZFC squads not being closed until 6 weeks after our data deadline.

We need to get the Nations Cup and O-League rules right is the next goal, and the pacific islands vaguely accurate.

No. I'll give this a miss. Sigma games were good till they got bought out and then when they went their own way gain, it doesn't quite seem right. Champioship Manager in the early 2000's was good.

Def be buying this one. The last FM 2007 had some bad bugs, but they should be ironed out this time around. CM series has gone downhill, but the database of FM makes it all worth the while.

Oh yeah, yes I will be getting a copy.  May even get two. 

One for being HR for Oceania and one for Assistant for Aus.

I have yet to check, but in theory I'm in the Aus credits and Oceania.

Edit : Actually, I think I'm in the Aus credits twice.  Does it mention KORB ?

Hey HN, do you know why NZFC isn't playable when other average leagues such as Hong Kong and Singapore are.  You did mention the squad thing, but as we both now, very soon after the release of CM / FM SI always releases an update pretty much on the day of release which would obvioulsy allow the correct squads to be updated.disco_mart2007-10-19 22:26:17

I have Football Manager 2008, just recieved my copy after pre-ordering it from overseas ... went into the data editor, and they have Ahmad Elrich in the squad so its very up-to date!! ... just entering in the records as they didnt have anything for the biggest win , biggest crowd etc...

I just got an email saying that it's been shipped. Hopefully it'll be waiting for me when I get home after work.

dont see what the rave of FM is. played the demo didnt really get into it. Guess i shall spend more time and figure out how good it is.

Personally, I find it great for wasting time. Doesn't require physical skill, can pause and come back to it at any time, works great on the bus etc.

ive played TCm05 and got over that kinda quickly. just have to wait and see if FM grows on me.

It depends how you play it to how long you spend on it. I take my team from League Two into the PL - so it keeps me occupies me for a while

thats pretty good, what League Two team did you take up? how many seasons did it take you?  Ive taken England to the Final of the World Cup 2010, facing Argie (havent played it yet tho, been a week while i sort out the right tactics, I have gerrard, lampard and carrick out with injury, and i only have three midfielders now lol)

yeah took Welling FC up from Confernece south to Champions League runners up (took 9 years).

I took Exeter about halfway, but I've taken Nuneaton, Alto Adige and a French side (Les Lilas ?) to Champions League glory in 06 or 07.

Also took Skive to the top in Denmark, just couldn't get past Copenhagen though in 7 years, but got out of the Champions League group stages.  Just research took over so I stopped playing it.

Oh yeah, I got NZ out of the World Cup group stages as well in 06.
