PMs - Coming, at some point. We're working on some shiny stuff at the moment that's taking up a bunch of our time so the website is lagging behind... but rest assured I have plans.

Unicorns, Guru meditations, etc - I do get notifications about these and will fix them slowly as they come through. As much as I probably don't need to say it, just keep whining about the errors if you get 'em and I'll keep fixing.

What about a live chat option?

Find a IRC server, make a channel and then post a link to mibbit in the game thread with the details #ProblemSolved

Well if you don't like that option, you could just tell everyone who you are on Twitter and then you can join in the live chat people have there.

Also twitter sucks unless your well known. Only great for instant news and updates

06 Sep 17:39

That's like saying google is only good for searching the Internet.

I agree.
I would also like a search function.

Yes. It exists now, but needs some refinements before the results are actually useful and before we roll it out to everyone.

Forum Search? I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned as I could not find the search :/

13 Sep 09:32

Any chance the Sticky topics can be grouped or something, like 3 to a line or something

Takes up the whole screen now !!!

19 Sep 07:50

Stickies: hmmm. I'm not sure what the best thing to do there is. Ask Patrick and Dale on that one.

19 Sep 09:00

Maybe best if they don't show up in the active topics if there isn't any new posts?

19 Sep 11:18

2 levels of stickies. One for notices (like canteen etc) another for subforum stickies (like transfer speculation)

Allegedly

19 Sep 18:52

Stickies are meant to be at the top right? I would suggest in the Active Topics tab, it is just for active topics.

Grumpy old bastard alert

19 Sep 20:51

I only ever browse the forums using Active Topics Jeff, so if the stickied posts don't show up there I wouldn't see them, I assume there would be others in the same boat?

We want people to see the stickied topics (that's why they've been stickied), so maybe a two level thing like Tegal suggested would be better? I'm not sure, just thinking (typing?) aloud.

Yellow Fever - Misery loves company

19 Sep 20:56

Yeah but you only open threads that have new posts. So why would you need to see an stickied topic if there wasn't anything new in it?

19 Sep 23:50

You could say the same for those who use subforums too. In which case, why have stickied topics at all.

Allegedly

20 Sep 00:19

Well I think it has two purposes.

1) to keep up front important thread/news that doesn't get posted in a lot.

2) helps stopping multiple threads. Because if you use active topics and want to create a new one thread, you
have to go into the sub forum to do that. Then the older, sticked threads would show up.

20 Sep 00:26 · edited 20 Sep 00:26 · History

Yeah that's why I suggested 2 levels, and you basically outlined them.

1 level with important news that stickies on active topics and subforums, 1 level that doesn't sticky in active topics but does sticky in the relevant subforum.

Though having the second one may  cause some who only use active topics to create another thread if they don't see the old one, but it probably wouldn't happen all that often and the benefit of less clutter might outweigh it.

Think you may be under attack from Mexicans - they are trying to sabotage some pages on the "All Whites and Other NZ International teams - The Road to Brazil via Mexico thread" by re-directing traffic with false warning links about malware on your pages.

I checked the warning about malware I received with Google Chrome and it proved to be false:

"How did this happen?

In some cases, third parties can add malicious code to legitimate sites, which would cause us to show the warning message."

Info from Google Chrome:

Safe BrowsingDiagnostic page for le-grove.co.uk

What is the current listing status for le-grove.co.uk?

Site is listed as suspicious - visiting this web site may harm your computer.

What happened when Google visited this site?

Of the 46 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 0 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2013-10-16, and suspicious content was never found on this site within the past 90 days.

This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS8426 (CLARANET-AS).

Has this site acted as an intermediary resulting in further distribution of malware?

Over the past 90 days, le-grove.co.uk did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites.

Has this site hosted malware?

No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days.

How did this happen?

In some cases, third parties can add malicious code to legitimate sites, which would cause us to show the warning message.
