A decent ref - and there are some good ones in this comp - would've seen that incident for exactly what it was: a stupid bit of theatre by players from two teams that are accustomed to this kind of thing. It was nothing. Just get them back on their feet and get on with the game. Instead Williams has once again embarrassed himself and potentially wrecked one team's chances. He's an incompetent buffoon.

I've switched over to the Arabic commentary again.  This guy is great - just as excitable as Chinese commentators.

I have been impressed with the Iranian defenders. They really are trying to be the first to every ball, especially in the air. Fergie did shark on that Queiroz was an excellent defensive coach.

So I guess the Iraqi keeper should have been red carded for raising his hands into the Iranians face as well then
