How does Tomi Juric get into this team?

He plays like a lobotomised version of Shane Smeltz.

Australia now second place in Group B after Saudi Arabia. However next month there'll be one matchday and in that matchday Japan will play Saudi Arabia whereas Australia will play Thailand away. A favourable matchup for the Footballroos.

City rested him because of soreness on the weekend, maybe he is just as old as dirt?

Australia just might find themselves playing off in 3rd place, Something they haven't done since leaving Oceania but something there use to.

They have 3 of the 5 games at home so  I would be surprised if they had to go to a play off. It would be hard to play as poorly again as they did against Thailand last week.

They seem to be struggling for goals atm, most of their attacking players are fringe players at their clubs currently. A lack of quality strikers seem to be an issue coming thru their age groups, Juric & Maclaren are the only two of note.

That's why they should've called up Cahill. What an impact off the bench he can make.

Australia win 2-0 but both Japan & Saudi Arabia won also. That leaves Aussie comfortably in the play off spot but 3 points behind Japan & Saudi Arabia. That Saudi game in the next window is looming rather large.
