On another more positive note, despite two victories, Brazil don't look like they can win this tournament.

They haven't got out of 1st gear yet.

Three for me, and two for them.

Ah, same goes for England, Italy, France, Spain and, apparently, Germany..... Argentina and, to some extent, the Netherlands would appear to be the only ones in a different gear.

Not really. Brazil have actually won games and are already in the next round.

Three for me, and two for them.

Brazil/Argentina/Netherlands are the only teams who have showed they want to win the thing but it's still early days

Thought that this game was a bit strange - was really dour for the most part except for the goals and then it exploded it into life once Brazil got their 2nd and decided they should start playing some good footballvaleo2010-06-21 20:56:41

It seems like a lot of you are complaining about the Ivory Coast.  They were far from perfect and committed more fouls than you can poke a stick at but Brazil were absolutely terrible.  Some very cynical play.  Kaka had to go, he was being an arrogant little prat for a large part of that half and he deserved that yellow card.  He can shake his head all he likes and act as if the ref doesn't really know what he's doing but I hope he's ashamed of himself.  The way the Brazilians surrounded the ref was pretty bad as well, throwing their arms around and not being far from punching him.  Wasn't too far off Joao Pinto's reaction to his red card against South Korea in '02, just the ref didn't get hit.
Bollocks man, it's not in Kaka's nature, absolutley wrong he was arrogant. All sour grapes play from Ivory Coast, they started playing like school kids down 5-0.

Brazil are evolving and yeah they are only just gettign out of first gear. Kaka can take a game off and ready himself for the round of 16. Brazil are loooking strong and they have attacking options all over the park.

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

Might not be part of his nature but he was petulant, arrogant, and painful to watch.  Nice pass to set up Elano, though, won't deny him that.

Yeah, Ivorians certainly not exempt.  You could see how pissed Drogba was getting with his team.

After this game they should be called Broken Leg Coast.

I thought Dunga went well over the top. Waving his arms shouting, jumping up and down.Don't see how that can be good for keeping his team cool.
