Yep, that's the one that's gonna get him. I was surprised that there hadn't been a reverse angle made available straight away but that's the one I was waiting for. Any last shred of doubt has to be gone with that.

Glad there is clear evidence cause the other replay could have been fobbed off for a headbutt to avoid suspension even if it was obvious it wasnt.

From the Guardian.
Suárez denied he had bitten Chiellini. “These situations happen on the field,” he said. “I had contact with his shoulder, chest against shoulder and I got a knock to the eye – nothing more.”
Say what.
Pretty clear cut.

Yeah that is way worse than the common angle shown with the Halfway camera. Completely indisputable. Open and shut case.

Obviously he has not seen the video on here, which if I am correct was taken from a grassy knoll inside the stadium.
I would be surprised if the Italian team management did not lodge a complaint soon, just to get the matters moving.
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I think it's time for a better protective gear in football, at least when Suarez is playing

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
167 people bet that Suarez would bite someone. A $5 bet won about $915 lol

Having watched all but 3 games in full of this entire world cup (and highlights of the other 3), I have to say this has been the group with the poorest quality football and the most boring in general.
A shame really, I had targeted this group to be one of the most entertaining prior to the world cup.
Disagree. Group F and Group H have been horrendous. To the point where someone fell asleep at the Belgium-Russia game.
I fell asleep at points during those two games this morning! The bite was the only thing that perked me up!
But fair call there on F and H - I had higher expectations for group D so I guess that contributes to my disappointment at how poor it was. Especially after the first two games when England looked quite decent and Costa Rica surprised. I had thought all along that Belgium and Argentina may not live up to their hype in terms of playing style so wasn't as surprised with that.
One bright spot in H was the S.Korea vs Algeria game though, that was a really good one, I thoroughly enjoyed that and it's saved Group H for me somewhat.
Also on the video evidence, thanks to Chellieni showing everybody the marks, that footage can also be used as evidence. Lots of zoomed photos floating around clearly showing teeth marks.
Those teeth ain't small either!
How long until Kenny Dalglish or someone comes out with "he's not that kind of player?"
How long until Kenny Dalglish or someone comes out with "he's not that kind of player?"
As long as he does as well as he's doing, he isn't. He's a money making, goal scoring machine. When his form drops and nobody wants him, only then will he become a scum bag.
In 2010 I was with some family in the Netherlands, they are massive Ajax fans.
We went to a local pub for a midweek champions league game and I asked my cousin to give me the lowdown on the team, strengths etc.
His friend butted in with a whole lot of dutch which my cousin translated to me "he's saying that our best player is our captain, Suarez, but that we don't cheer him on so much because he is a very dirty player, he does things we don't like and we will be happy when we cash in on him"

FIFA can confirm that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the player Luis Suarez of Uruguay following an apparent breach of art. 48 and/or art. 57 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ match Italy-Uruguay played on 24 June 2014. The player and/or the Uruguayan FA are invited to provide with their position and any documentary evidence they deem relevant until 25 June 2014, 5pm, Brasilia time.
According to art. 77 lit. a of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC), the FIFA Disciplinary Committee is responsible for sanctioning serious infringements which have escaped the match officials’ attention. Furthermore, according to art. 96 of the FDC, any type of proof may be produced (par. 1), in particular are admissible, reports from referees, declarations from the parties and witnesses, material evidence, audio or video recordings (par. 3).
The Uruguayans are pretty much already singing that tune. I think that regardless of his role in the team his teammates and coaches shouldn't be supporting him. Just say no comment, or we'll wait for the match review, or whatever. But this whole "it's a media beatup, Chiellini is a cheat, people only pick on Suarez cos of his reputation" bullshit makes them all look like total knobends too. The world saw it, the other guy's got Suarez's dental imprint in his shoulder - there's no wriggling out of this.

Suarez's actions have major ramifications for Liverpool and I suspect Barcelona.
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
What a massive over reaction.
I'd much sooner get a little nibble on my shoulder than have some guy bobsled me and get my leg busted.
When that happens I don't see such an outcry and people demanding a long ban.
Its all a beat up by the English press who hate Suarez.
A dog with a bone :)
People should not be biting
Yes there is hypocrisy / double standards over fouls/cheating/violence
But this cannot excuse or make light of Suarez's actions and the need for FIFA to heavily sanction him.

Plus "a little nibble" is not really accurate, he sank his teeth in pretty hard by the looks of it, and judging by the photos I've seen of Chiellini's shoulder, he broke the skin too. That can lead to some pretty nasty complications:

Human bites have been shown to transmit hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes simplex virus (HSV), syphilis, tuberculosis, actinomycosis, and tetanus.
Evidence suggests that it is biologically possible to transmit the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) through human bites, although this is quite unlikely.

I dunno a broken leg is one thing but there is nothing quite like the weeks of fear you enjoy waiting for the your blood results to come through after you've been bitten by someone.

In the pictures they are showing in the English papers the skin isn't broken and he was bitten through his shirt.
Also, its not a 24 match ban, its a 24 match international ban, and that's the most they can give.
A Liverpool paper is reporting he will still play for his club.
A dog with a bone :)
24 game ban apparently.
There seems to be conjecture over whether its 24 months or 24 games but I have read a coupld of articles say that they can award a 2 year ban so that it may be 24 months. Then again, this is world media we are talking about.

24 game ban apparently.
pure speculation. It may be 24 games (or 24 months which has also been bandied about) but as FIFAs disciplinary committee haven't even met yet, I'd be amazed if they have determined the punishment.
This is the Guardian's review of the FIFA media briefing that just took place:

Ah RAWK never fails to disappoint. The best defence from a Liverpool fan so far:
I told my sister who is completely disinterested in football. Her first reaction? Bemused laughter. When I told her it was the third time? More laughter.
If he was going around punching people in the face, I'd be more willing to condemn him. The fact is he's done the sum of fuck all damage to three fellas by having a nibble, and will probably have been punished for over 30 games for them. I'm not saying that's unjust by the way. But that's what it is, isn't it? If he'd broken three noses, would he have been suspended for less games?
I don't see how it being more unusual equals it being worse. Shitting on a fellas chest while he's sleeping is probably more uncommon than murdering or crippling someone. It doesn't mean it's worse though.
