At Birko I am setting up an official NK fan zone during the World Cup. Very much looking forward to this and providing a true NK experience for all to enjoy.

Huh? No such thing as poverty in glorious North Korea. Poverty is only a rumour created by sensationalist western dogs.

They may do better than people expect. The term Dark horse may have been made for this team

When the FIFA u17s was here two years ago i remember thinking how naive there tactics were- when they were fouled they'd get up and chase the ball, rather than flop in a heap- it was so agaisnt the norm that it often caught the other team out; essentially they ran them into the ground with a very energetic, direct approach. Plus they all had the same hair cuts (Think bowl cut) so marking them must have been a helluva job.

They won by the way- against USA

That was the women's (girls') team?  They were big, fast and had stamina.  But also some very good technical players with great accuracy in passing.

They got Juniorette all fired up and enthused with football (them and the crazy Danish supporters).

Put $6 on Nigeria to beat them (kick off in 75 minutes) and I will rage if they fail.

I read on wikipedia that Kim Jong Il is a fan of both Rambo and James Bond.  But he didn't approve of Die Another Day due to the fact that North Korea were the bad guys.  I sincerely hope that's true, and if it is my respect for him will soar.

whoa mate
I was speaking for myself, not having a go at anyone else.
there is just something about both NK and Zimbabwean I find deeply unfunny and sickening
quite why I'm that hypocritical about their suffering to anyone else I don't know.

Its hard to stay on topic with Korea DPR- sure they are a footballing nation competing in the WC and have evry right to be there and be taken seriosuly as such, but with all there dogma and history, and general wackiness it will be hard not to try into high or low farce.

When they start playing then post comments about their performances in here.

ill tip them to do better than expected

Come last in their group with one goal as opposed to last with no goals?  You've seen their group, right?

Did you see what i meant about they don't dive? they have never seen EPL or Serie A players flopping about- when they are fouled they get up and keep going- it bamboozled the oppo who expect them to flop

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I'll admit several moments during the game including that made me well up. These players deserve a bit of joy and happiness and i was so pleased for them when they scored their goal.
