So it appears Torres will be sitting on the bench come kick off which leaves the Spanish with a 4-5-1 I presume?
imo germany should employ the same tactic as they appeared to use against Argentina, keep a narrow back four and push Villa out wide.   It kept Tevez and Higuain pretty quiet, hopefully it works again.

Who are we backing to replace Mueller? Kroos, Marin..?

So the question is - Is Paul's mojo more powerful that Jaochim's dirty old sweater?

I'm on the fence here. I want Spain to win because I think they will be the slightly easier opponent in the final but the other part of me wants a Holland v Germany final because of the history between the two. It would be so much sweeter to beat the Germans but they're playing so well it's making me nervous.

Fuck this stupid game

Interesting on the news tonight most Dutch fans were hoping for Germany in the final.

I just want this WC to end with NZ as the only undefeated World Cup team.

No longer undecided. Sticking with Spain, my original pick to win the tournament many moons ago. And i have a bet on them with a mate. And they have San Iker, Cesc and David Villa.

Three for me, and two for them.

Spain. Holland won't get the ball off them.

surely netherlands/germany would be the more exciting and intense final given their rivalry?

Germany seems a different team when the opposition can actually defend.

watch for the counter attack

doesnt matter how good the defence is when they move it that fast. We've seen flashes only in this game so far, but if they put one together it'll be awesome

Now they have, at least passed better, not just "somewhere in the vicinity of" a player

spain are happy to strolll around with possession doing sweet f*ck all as usual, while germany try to score every time they get the ball. I hope they do score soon

Why are you so critical of the Spanish style of play when it's similar to Arsenal?

Sooo... Germany aren't impressing like everyone wants them to. And Spain just can't seem to get the goods.

Nah. No penalty.

0-0 half time. Spain controlling everything, but overplaying it far too much in the final third, even Del Bosque looks frustrated with it. Still, patience is a virtue.

Wouldnt have been that harsh if it was given Ramos just ran into Ozil wasnt even near the ball

It would of been softer than De Rossi's pen against us.

Yeah, no penalty - barely touched him. Good refereeing.

Fascinating game so far. Spain look very good but Germany are soaking up the pressure well and look extremely dangerous at setpieces.

yea good game so far
Germany is jst sitting back and then countering so far
but Spain has lacked the cutting edge so far.

decided i love watching football in Spanish even though i don't understand it, seems more exciting
