I tried that for 2002, hiring a UHF decoder for a week to go with the digital one. I soon abandoned the approach, as I found myself concentrating on only one game and missing what was happening in the other. It didn't help that the UHF signal was really poor where I was living at the time.

loving the sheer obsessiveness that is evident in this thread!!

i reckon if borther McCabe writes a follow-up to World Cup Baby - he could use this thread as an appendix (in the literary sense, not the medical one)

I'm becoming more and more useless. i think the 4am game tomorrow is really going to mess with me. tomorrow morning's staff meeting is going to be interesting.

Is that the 2am game or the 6:30am game? Or the delayed viewing of the other 2am game?

first case of lack of sleep from me yesterday, didnt go to school as I woke up at 2.00 pm after watching all games live in the weekend thanks to cancelations in sports. Also had to sit out of food tech cause aparrently I wasnt listening to my teacher and i looked to tired to be cooking.

Some of you lot sound like you've peaked too early. I'm only starting to watch all games from here on in. All about picking and choosing your matches wisely.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah, but after this week it all gets much easier. Only two games each morning, some mornings have no games. Barely any sleep deprivation and hardly any commitment required.

Trust an Arsenal fan to only start watching properly once the glory games begin

Haha fair call, i've done better than i thought i would with matches so far anyway. Besides if i do miss a cracker of a game i can always watch extended highlights or even a replay of it later on.

Three for me, and two for them.

I have chosen wisely. I've taken work off around all the good games in the pool stages and have also taken work off for all matches beyond that. The only reason I'm getting tired is because I couldn't resist watching pretty much all of the pool games regardless of having to go to work after some of them.

In bed by 9:30 tonight. Up at 2. Back in bed by 4. Up again at 6:30. Solid 7 hours sleep. Still able to cover all the matches. Quality.

Three for me, and two for them.

After a couple of weeks you learn that kind of sleep isnt very solid in the long term!

Yes. Oh well, guess this is a warning to fellow forummers then. If my posts appear a little more angsty than usual in the coming weeks then you know why.

this thread can be used as evidence for any silly mistakes we may make
i have to say this whole watching two matches at once makes things harder then easier
the concentration needed is intense and with this sleep thing not happening... i lack in this concentration thing

fell asleep at work today... only 5 or 10 minutes bt still lol. lucky no1 noticed

Was abosolutely k-nackered today. Watched both sets of games this morning, with a kip in between. Luckliy I can Work From Home, so had 25-winks in the afternoon.

But it's past my bedtime now...( a bit sad coz I am going to bed before my kids) , another snooze , dreaming of an Early exit for England.

See ya later zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I fell asleep at work on Monday (don't tell the boss!). Apparently I was asleep for half an hour before I started snoring and my work mate noticed. Sleeping beats working!

I'm so tired after just the 8 hours sleep spread over 3 nights that I feel like a whining, cranky toddler. Think John Terry or Harry Kewell.

Coming home on the tram today I fell asleep, waking up two stops past mine to the sight of a very good looking girl opposite me who was trying politely to ignore the string of drool dangling from the corner of my mouth onto my collar. I've got a horrible feeling I had been making some sort of grunting noises in my sleep too.

Na, favoured game on tv. Other game streaming on laptop. It is hard to pay attention to two at once so I tend to use the second one just as a score update and highlights mechanism and watch the replay of the second one later.

I think I'm going to have to get today off work. I was too excited to sleep before the game, managed only two hours sleep, and now I'm too something (I can't describe how I feel) to go back to sleep. I'm absolutely knackered.
