Well I peaked too early and ended up footy overloaded. havent watched any in about 5 days now and got my sleep pattern back  just in time to ruin it with 3 weeks of tour'd'france. lol last night I got home with only 5 mins left of the brazil match but will watch tonight's germany game. I'm not sure how I'll cope getting up to watch the final as I don't function well in the mornings so doubt i'll drive anywhere so have to watch it at home

12 hour sleeps on Wednesday and Thursday nights were much needed. No one has any excuses to miss any games from here on in!

I swore I would give the Tour d'France a miss this time round but I just know I'm going to end up watching it. Kind of pinning my hopes on it quickly turning into a Tour d'Farce of corruption and drug cheats so I can give up in disgust and resume normal sleep patterns. And let's face it, the odds of that are quite high.

I watch about 80% of the Tour every year and usually sprinkle a few days off here & there to cope with 21 nights of getting to bed at 4am. you must have it even worse if in OZ since our tv live times are usually 11.30pm - 4am

i have a separate tour thread in others so people can follow whats happening tho lol most on here arent into cycling

only just found this thread, its awesome!

I've gotta save my leave for my first ever arsenal pilgrimmage in october, so couldnt take any time off for this world cup

I went into this with no real plan, and that's exactly how it's ended up - zero planning and zero thought for my own well being

I've been going to bed at mostly regular times and just taking huge chunks of sleep out of my routine - some clever myskying has helped at times but i've basically been averaging 4 hours sleep a day. I've hit the wall during the day so many times, i've become completely useless and unproductive at work.

Couldnt wait for the first two days without football, but both nights I managed to wake up at the regular kick-off times because my body clock is f*cked.

I've been proud of my ability to continously rise from bed and just keep on hitting it, no matter how sleep deprived. Those years of training with arsenal kick-off times have served me well...

I watched the last 5 stages of the tour'd'france live most finishing at 3am so i totally missed the Germ vs Uraga game but last night was so hyped from the massive alp stage i cdn't sleep anyway so was in front of the tv again after an hours sleep and just took a sleeping pill before the final 30mins and ended up sleeping 9am-3pm

I have survived. And ended up watching more games live than all previous cups put together

but I have 10 more cycling stages to go and will prob end up having watched a bigger percentage of the tour than the cup

I think tonight I will sleep in my bed for the first time in a month, rather than the floor in front of the tele. I'm quite excited, actually!

Still not over for me - Team Leota tonight at 12.30, and then Dinamo in a Champions League qualifier at 6.15am tomorrow morning.

Four hours sleep, here I come again.

Did an all nighter on sunday night with a few mates, we did a Confederations Cup style tournament (I lost with NZ to my Becks-loving mate's England in the final ) before taking in the final. So I went to bed at 2pm yesterday and woke up at 8.30 this morning (16.5 hours), feels wierd.

U20 Football Ferns tonight for me too, more Kiwis at a Football World Cup + U20 Swedes = Total Win.
You know we belong together...

Three for me, and two for them.
