So as we all think we are smarter than the TAB, this can be the place where we publicly prove it.

Post your tips and thoughts (or guesses) in here.

At the moment the best value for me looks to be Spain to win at $7.50. Not often the best team in the world is going to be paying so much.

Just opened a bet365 account and downloaded their app. Could be very dangerous, as it's just so easy and live betting odds are good. Also got first credit doubled so there's a bit to play with. Already made a bit on the NBA playoffs and last night's origin which has set me up nicely with available funds for World Cup (back on topic!)

A big tip......

Whatever team I pick, wont win. A dead set cert!

Think Colombia could cause some trouble if they can get out of their group likewise Uruguay (if Saurez is fit) so I might pop a few $ on them and maybe Belgium , especially with the TAB offering bet refunds if spain win

australia under 1.5 world cup points at $1.45 looks like free money to me.

$1 on Brazil to win 3-1 with Neymar first to score and a cool $40 return! :)

I've put $64 in my TAB account. Play one $1 bet on each game. Lost out picking a draw today. But have Mexico to win ($2.20), Spain by 2 goals ($5.25), and Chile by -1 ($2.15 is a licence to print money.)

Current tally: -$20

The bloke at the TAB conned me into entering some competition because he knew i would be a regular during the World Cup. Bye bye savings.

Three for me, and two for them.

$2 on the day 2 treble of ESP MEX CHI

I had both teams to score and Brazil to win last night (which was offset by having Hulk to score at anytime - Hulk make me angry). The treble Kiwi Gooner mentioned seems a good one (paying £5.90) so I'm going with that, along with a goalscorer in each game (probably Hernandez, Silva and Vidal, but it will depend on the lineup). Will also chuck a couple of quid on loads of bookings in the Spain/Holland game.

I rarely bet, only really on special events like this. Had an old TAB account I opened for the last World Cup when they had that promotion giving you $20 for signing up for the World Cup. Not used it since the rugby World Cup so stuck $50 in it yesterday to have a bit of go during this.

Put $5 on "Bet of the Day" which was Neymar to score first and Brazil to win 2-0 @ 15.00 so that didn't work out. Also stuck a fiver on Neymar @11.00 and Higuain @ 20.00 for top scorer. Put $1 on Chile to beat Australia 5-0 @ 50.00 for tomorrow.

I also have Aguero as top scorer (each way bet) and have chucked a couple of quid on the Argies to win the whole damn thing.

I've had a fiver on a goal to be scored within the first 27 minutes in the Brazil game, the Chile game, the Uruguay game, and the Ivory Coast game. Pays around $2 each match so it's been a good bet so far! (Also would have come through in the Spain game and the Colombia game).

Basically Spain just better finish top of their group.

This bet has come through in 7 of the 9 games so far, and you wouldn't be surprised if it came through in today's other two games as well.

actually turned a little profit by going larger on corners than the other 2 bets.

Ghana vs the seppos - I just haven't got a clue on this one. Going with the following

Over 2.5 goals @2.20
Over 12 corners @4.00
ATTS Jordan Ayew @ 4.33
ATTS Clint Dempsey @ 3.75

Get ready for a 1-0 to someone.

My best start has come from Muller golden boot. Early days, but he made a good start this morning. Was at $30 odds before the start of WC.

Got on Croatia before this morning to qualify from group at 3.75. Pretty good odds I though

Had two bets on the England-Uruguay game, one on Rooney scoring and one on it ending a draw. Was pleased when Rooney levelled it but Gerrard let the second bet slip by playing Suarez onside for the winner..

Nice. I'm hopeless at this and only managed the one win so far which was Brazil to beat Chile on penalties. Multi for the 8 teams to progress from the 2nd round only made it to the third game thanks to those 2 late Netherlands goals. Went for Brazil/Colombia/Mexico/Costa Rica/France/Germany/Argentina/USA.

Kind of glad it didn't make it to the last game tomorrow having chosen the underdog as that would have hurt.
