Any news about killen?

Doesn't add anything to the discussion.  Last contact was a long time ago.  Now Chongqing can't field him so presumably he has been released and is a free agent.
Also the interviewer said that Smeltz arrived in China with his family and decided it wasn't for them.  He arrived by himself to Shandong - not exactly a world class city - and realised after a few days that it wasn't going to work out.

Postscript: It seems that Chongqing FC, having been relegated to China Two (3rd tier), has now been dissolved.   It has ceased to be. It is an ex-club. It has joined the choir invisible...

Not the quickest but he isn't the sort of guy who would miss sitters like Brockie.

Isn't his mum on the forums? Maybe she could answer how his recovery is going and the contract situation with his team being relegated.

Maybe his business interests are proving more lucrative. Mentioned on his LinkedIn profile:
Chongqing FCJanuary 2012 – Present (2 years 2 months)chongqing china

I have been a professional football player for nearly 15 years now thought the UK and China.
Along with Football I am now working with some high profile Business people in China to bring Chinese football players to the Australasian and European markets.

Didn't he do his achilles as well.

Perhaps its better in the long run to stop now and grow a buisness which will last for years.

according to wiki, along with Jeremy Christie, he is playing for Tuen Mun in Hongkong

Looks like bullshit?

Killen would have been an excellent pickup for the Nix during Rickis era.....but now I don't think his game would suit Ernies style.....would rather have Costa.

Digging deeper, their website hasn't been updated in ages and the club is.. well, suspended from the league.

That was posted in Feb.

Oh I am from Hong Kong, and did you see the OG by the Tuen Mun player? It was an absolutely disgrace.

Norwich City supporter since 1992, New Zealand supporter since 2010 but without Rory Fallon's winning goal against Bahrain, I won't know about New Zealand Football.

Was he not facilitating players into clubs. Not official an agent but just helping make connections?

Grumpy old bastard alert

He is the CEO of EurAsia sports management based in Guangzhou and I'm sure Tim Payne and Jeremy Christie should go have a chat with him....but at the age of 32 it would be a sad loss if Killen has already hung up his boots for good.

Sentencing in August, don't know the UK system and how they treat it but would expect time behind bars

Okay definitely not excusing or minimising anything he might or might not have done but just pointing out that sexual assault covers the full spectrum of unwanted contact from (for example) an unwanted kiss through to everything short of rape.

Given he has made a very specific admission I wouldn't jump to any sentence conclusions too quickly, although you are right there is a strong likelihood of a custodial sentence in any sexual assault case. For a first offence at the lower end of the spectrum he might get some sort of community or suspended sentence though.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
