If he hasn't by now, you'd have to say it would be extremely unlikely in the future.

Best chance probably qualifiers over next 12 months. Our depth is thin, so a couple of injuries and a couple of "sickies" from the European based players and he might get a look in. Quite a few marginal selections in the ocf nations cup squad and not as if that squad covered itself in glory.

I still think it's unlikely. If he wasn't selected for the Nations Cup, I can't see him being selected for the qualifiers. Ricki has shown the preference for selecting average ASB Premiership players in the squad ahead of him, so I get the impression that the train's left the station for Daniel.

As a general rule, Ricki has never gone out of his way to pick Daniel, so I'd have to agree with you there EG

INSEE Police united is just one point ahead from relegation zone. They also have 8 foreign players in the team!

True, Police are in the relegation battle, but the league has only just passed the halfway point, and due to flood damage from last year, Police have played the bulk of their matches away in the first half. (They play 13 of the last 17 at home)

Daniel became eligible on Weds 25th, the first game of the 2nd half of the season. He started, and played 81 minutes in a 1-1 home draw against Chiang Rai Utd.

Yesterday, he was an 85th-minute substitute in a 0-0 home draw against defending TPL champions Buriram Utd.

Daniel was a 74th minute sub in Police Utd's 3rd Round (last 32) FA Cup tie last night. Police drew 0-0 with fellow TPL side Wuachon Utd, and won the penalty shootout 6-5.

Here's a photo of the cheerleaders/'pretties' at Daniel's new club:

Daniel started on Sunday vs Pattaya Utd, but only played 8 minutes, as the game was abandoned after heavy rain made the pitch unplayable. The match has been rescheduled for 26 September.

Just to clarify the foreigner rule in Thailand. Last season, teams were allowed to register 7 imports, & field up to 5 at any one time.

Due to a number of reasons, but mostly administrative incompetence & politics, the 2011 season dragged on until the end of Jan 2012. Some teams were done as early as Dec 31, and started recruiting for 2012. Part of the way through January, the TPL announced that 2012 would see a reduction, with the 3+1 rule introduced to bring the league in line with the AFC. Clubs who'd already been shopping protested, and eventually the league decided to please everyone by allowing 7 foreigners to be registered with the TPL, but only 5 could be named in the squad on matchday, with the 3+1 rule applying on the field.

A handful of clubs have more than 7 import players, but the excess players are only eligible for cup games. (Clubs register squads for the 1st half of the season, and again for the 2nd half once the mid-season transfer window closes)

Daniel started today's away match at 2nd-placed Chonburi. Police lost 0-1, & Daniel was subbed for a striker (fellow Brazilian Leandro Dos Santos) after 58 minutes as the Cops chased an equaliser.

Police ended a 17-match winless streak with a 2-0 home win over Wuachon Utd. Daniel didn't play any part in the match. This was the first time he didn't start or get subbed on since his arrival.

I also saw it reported as 15 matches ;)

Anyway, Police Utd's return to form was fleeting as they lost 0-1 at home to Army Utd last weekend. Daniel played no part in the game.

He scored in the 45th minute in an FA Cup 4th Round (last 16) tie tonight, putting the Cops up 2-1 away at Chiang Rai Utd. CRU scored an injury-time equaliser as the game ended 2-2. Police eventually lost 4-5 on penalties. He also got a yellow card in the second half. As far as I can make out from both teams' twitter accounts (no match report up yet), he played the full 120, but didn't take a penalty in the shootout. Police's twitter named him as one of 3 standouts around the hour mark.

Daniel scored again on Saturday (1st league goal). His goal in the 55th minute was Police's second equaliser in a 2-2 away draw at BEC Tero. He started and played 87 minutes in the match.

BEC Tero are currently 4th in the league, and signed Sven-Goran Erikksen as technical director for 2 months today.

Police Utd beat Osotspa M-150 Saraburi last night by 1-0, to move out of the relegation zone with 8 1/2 rounds to play.

Daniel started. Neither of the sites I usually get match reports from mentions subs, but he was still on the field when the goal was scored at 77 minutes.

Very brief highlights here. www.siamsport.co.th/thaipremierleague/result_report.asp?id=28796

You just see him walking onto the pitch, and at the end he runs over to celebrate the goal. The less said about the offside decision, the better.

Daniel played 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw against fellow relegation struggles BBCU (Big Bang Chula United) on Saturday. Police now 1 point above the drop zone. I believe their remaining 7 fixtures are all at home, so they should be ok.

Played, and scored a penalty in a 1-1 draw with TOT in the weekend. Coupled with a win in midweek, Police are now 2 points above relegation with 6 games to go. Police's run-in has 5 home games, with the only an away game at bottom-placed TTM

I think I've but missed a couple of games here, but last week Daniel played and scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Thai Port. His halo slipped a little for me here as he went from Nix legend to all but condemning my Port Lions to the drop.

With 2 matches remaining, Police look safe on 37 points. Two teams (TTM & BBCU) are already down,  Port are tied on 33 with Chainat. The TPL uses head-to-head as a tie-breaker rather than GD, which puts Port in the drop zone. Port face the top two teams, Chonburi & Muang Thong in the next two weeks. Any hopes MTU would suffer a hangover from sealing the title last week were dispelled midweek with an 8-1 dismantling of BBCU.

I believe there will be an interview with Daniel featured early next week on the Thai League Football site

Police drew 1-1 in the weekend vs Samut Songkram. Daniel was on the beach, but I don't know if he was used. Port's loss to Muang Thong Utd means that Police are safe from relegation with one game left in the season.

Here is the 'interview' with Daniel I mentioned earlier. It's more a photo shoot with a couple of comments than anything.

Sure ricki would have had the final call but that kinda sounds like the gaffa didn't want Daniel anymore.
