Has had a steady diet of games (some off the bench) for Vancouver II in the USL (3rd tier), since his injury recovery. Will come into reckoning for Mexico match, now that his eligibility is sorted.

Played full 90 mins for Whitecaps II last week. Seems fully on the mend which is good news.

Ben McKendry also started for the 2nd side, but was replaced at 60 mins, with his sub going on to score all 3 goals in a 3-1 win over Arizona United!

What? Fudge sakes. Was his sub a striker or was he subbed off for another midfielder?

Soccerway says Sanner the sub for McKendry is an 'attacker'. Obviously a handy one

Subbed after 28mins for Whitecaps II during 0-2 loss to Colorado Springs. That can only mean injury. Hopefully not serious.

Ben McKendry not in this matchday squad.

USL (3rd tier) playoffs have started. Wynne's Whitecaps II defeated Colorado Springs 2-1. They are now through to Conference Semifinals and play OKC Energy next. There are 8 teams in Conference semifinals so not sure how it all works.  4 team still left in a Western and Eastern Conference each?

Wynne didn't feature in the game and he hasn't played 12th September - though was picked in the AWs squad.

McKendry didn't play either

Don't know when the game was, but Wynne spent Sunday US time in Nashville with the All Whites - and said in a interview with NZF that he's over his injury troubles.

Whitecaps II won there QF 3-2 over OKC Energy and play semi this Sunday.

Might explain why Wynne saw no action in USA game

Wynne played 90 minutes in the USL Conference Finals against #4 seed Swope Park Rangers but they lost 3–0. This was his first match since 3 September...

Wynne scores as Whitecaps II beat local rivals Seattle Sounders II by 3 zip.

De Vries also plays full 90 min, whilst Ben McKendry nets for Whitecaps II as well

That must be so weird having the American Football lines on there and their sideline not being the games sideline.

Yeah right

Olympic v Napier @ Wakefield Pk.

I was thinking more because the American Football outlines where white but having a second look didn't realise the football outlines for the game was yellow.

Have seen mistakes made on Wakefield too with the extra lines.

Yeah that's pretend that its anywhere as noticeable as the gridiron pitch. Every time I play at Wellington College someone gets the wrong out line - its confusing as fudge. Wakefield isn't quite as bad for it.

Deklan has an outside chance of making his debut for Whitecaps' first team tomorrow after signing a short term deal for their upcoming Canadian Championship semi-final match against Montreal Impact.

Fantastic for Deklan Wynne as he makes his first team debut, coming on in the 70th minute in a 2-1 win.

Looks like Vancouver just hung to the win, playing mostly a 2nd string young side. Good experience for Wynne

Joins Colvey & Hudson in Denver. Hopefully ex AWs coach gives him some MLS first team action!

Rapids 2-0 up after 8 minutes. Smith credited with assist for 2nd goal.

Hudson to be MLS coach of the season.

2nd week in a row Rapids concede late (91st minute) and again costs them points. This time a 2-2 draw v Kansas.

Full shifts for Wynne and Smith

Wynne and Smith both start for Rapids verus Philadelphia Union. That’s 7 Kiwis today who have started a MLS game.

And made the MLS team of the week to boot!

Watched the full Colorado game. Was very impressed by both Wynne and Smith, both looked comfortable. Fantastic hattrick from the Rapids striker as well. Colorado were a class above Philly, especially in the 2nd half - the wind had a massive effect on the game and Colorado had it behind them in the 2nd. First win for Huddo and something they'll be looking to build on.

Seems strange how he is playing at cb in a 3 at the back formation when Hudson was in NZ he played Wynne at lwb in a three at the back formation, wonder what made him change his position?

Who would have Wynn pushed out in the All Whites though, Boxall?

Glad he's starting and playing well.

Probably squad depth? Helpful that he seems competent at both.

Also made the MLS team of the week with some top names. Was awesome seeing Bill there recently and now Deklan, future All White CB options look pretty decent if those 2 can keep at it.
