Aaaand an assist 2-0.

Crazy game. Just got a second assist to put the Well up 3-0.

Player of the match on Fotmob.

HOWEVER - Hearts scored 3 in a short space of time and ended 3-3. Bonkers atmosphere, great for the neutral, but not for me who since yesterday is Motherwell til I die

My old man was born in Motherwell so been a supporter since a kid, surprisingly most of my cousins still in th area are die hard rangers fans, one of my cousins sons for abit was part of the Motherwell youth set up but I think he’s given that away and is into marathons now

Some good positive reporting on Just.
Cam Devlin a full game for Hearts.

Next Kiwi SPL derby.

Some lovely skills for the first assist. Then some pretty average defending from Hearts gives him acres of space to make the run for the 2nd one.

Scrappy Doo wouldn't have been happy, I think it's him Just tears away from with the 2nd goal.

24 Aug 02:22
The second assist would of endeared to the fans... not selfish at all, making sure the team scores.
24 Aug 02:24
Good game from him.

From those clips the control and option taking looks better than the a league. And these aren't the top teams.
24 Aug 03:46
The fans seem happy with him. The man of the match poll for this morning’s game has Just winning with 95% of votes at time of writing. Lots of comments to the effect of ‘Just with yet another solid game.’

We always knew he was too good for Austrias second tier but it’s great to see him prove it.
You cant just pick and choose which laws to follow. Sure Id like to tape a baseball game without the express written consent of major league baseball, but thats just not the way it works.-Hank Hill

Seen on Instagram a healthy contingent of Kiwi comedians currently performing at Edingburgh Fringe Fest went out to the Hearts vs Motherwell game to support the bro.

At about 25 secs in, I think it is Scrappy Doo Devlin and Just having a little Trans Tasman chat close up. From the match highlights Cammy D struggled to contain Eli J.

Watching that first clip I think his plan for the first was a one two and a signature guided strike into the top corner!

His only issue has been lack of strength on the ball - Scottish football will fix that up real quick, and he's already progressing well

He’s getting a lot of plaudits from opposition fans too. Nice to see. Seems to be thriving in that environment. ‘Well are quite good at bringing talent through so he’ll have plenty of support around him and as they’re a smaller club, a lot less expectation weighed on his shoulders. I think it took quite a few by surprised just how good they were for the first 60 mins, but this hearts side are well over hyped.

Just has jumped ahead of Singh based on his club form...

We all know Singh has quality and something different. He's just not scoring or assisting enough..

Played in central midfield vs Hearts, too, and looked right at home. Awesome Singh stand-in assuming Garbett's benched!

Might be about the best highlights package I've seen of a Kiwi performing at a high level in a very long time.

You know its a good performance when even the Hearts fans were saying things like
"He's run circles around us all day"
"Could only stop him by trying to clatter him" &
"Best performance I've seen from an opposition player at Tynecastle in some years"

Great stuff. 👏

Interesting celebration to copy there.

Three for me, and two for them.

Motherwell host Kilmarnock this weekend, hopefully Stanger can get himself back into Killies starting lineup. A 2019 U20s catch up.

Scottish football has once again shown its true face. I put through an argument a month ago that Scottish football is not stronger than the A-league with "probable exception" to Rangers and Celtic. And that exception is only, only based on European football teams being allowed to play any player from Europe (or those that have European passports) without limits, unlike the A-league. The below report documents Scottish footballs true face. Peoples eyes have always been clouded by its football history, the media and its geographical location.

Auckland (Champions) vs Hibs (3rd place) - my bet will be on Auckland, all day.

Just 95 mins (2-2) in a 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock.
As posted in the Stanger thread, George S got a start for Killies and the 2nd goal for them.

All good stuff.

No Just, as Motherwell win 1-0.
I can't find any comment online why, hopefully straight back in next, and then has a Cup Semi Final to look forward to between international windows.

Motherwell won 1-0 against Aberdeen thanks to a Regan Charles-Cook goal after 63 minutes but Eli Just missed this game with an unspecified injury knock. Only game that he’s missed this year but the lads got the job done without him (albeit with a little less class in possession than usual). Motherwell are still undefeated this season, by the way, having drawn all five Premiership games and won all five League Cup games (including one via penalties during the group stage... probably should count as a draw but the idea still stands).

Still no Eli Just as Motherwell win 2-0. Hopefully not a serious injury

The 2 Aussie Greeks Koutroumbis and his replacement Stamatelopoulos with a goal each.

New Socceroo Milanovic an unused sub for the Dons.

Midfielder Eli Just is also under an injury cloud, but Bazeley is more optimistic he could play some part in the coming window. Just has been part of every All Whites squad named since his debut in November 2019, but has missed Motherwell’s last two matches in the Scottish Premiership with a groin issue.

Just has pulled out of the AWs, so it seems he won't be playing for Motherwell tonight.

As expected no Just.

Edit - Motherwell lose 3-2. Apostolos Stamatelopoulos a double for the losers. Stamatelopoulos still not really in Socceroos conversations. He'd be handy for the AWs.

He’d probably start beside Chris next week if he was available for us. Sad to say that at the last WC we played in we had 4 strikers all at a good level playing well and scoring, now we have just one and he’s the wrong side of 30.

To be fair though it’s like we swapped our midfield and striking resources. Perhaps even our midfield/defense.

Then we had Vicelich out of retirement and Barron, an amateur player, on the bench.
If we count Just and McCowatt, Garbett, Singh, Bell, Stamenic, Thomas, Rufer, and Ben Old we have 9 quality players there. And Parker-Price emerging from hibernation to boot!

I’m sure Ivan would have still been pro had Auckland had an A League team then.

We were significantly stronger up front, midfield is stronger now but Elliott at that time was better then any one currently IMHO (Stamenic to hopefully better his level while Thomas and Just are different sorts of players) and at the back, then easily, though in 2030 I think that will be our strongest position again. Keepers are better now and our bench is much much stronger.
