Seems he is back at the Melbourne Knights.

Shaun Romein’s effort from close range was well kept out by Italiano, but the Oakleigh custodian could not make up for the non-existent marking as an unmarked Kayne Vincent slotted home the rebound for his first goal upon returning to the Knights.

Kiwis abroad favourite Kayne Vincent was retained by his I-League club Prayag SC in India for the 2012/13 season.

In the I-Legaue so far this season, Vincent has managed to score 11 goals in 18 games for Prayag United. It is believed that Vincent played this and a number of games before with a stress fracture in his heel but played as the team already had a number of injured players. He returned to the field 6 weeks later and scored the winning goal against Botafogo FC of Brazil in the 116th minute in the IFA Shield semi-final, Prayag won 1-0.At the end of 2011-2012 season he was released by the club. After a short stint in Australia he signed for Prayag for the 2012-2013 season.

However, the I-League kicked off with Kiwis Abroad favourite Kayne Vincent once again lining up for Prayag United.  The Indian side won their season opener 5-1 but the former Waitakere United striker was left on the bench.

Kiwis abroad favourite Kayne Vincent was a second half sub for Prayag United in the I-League as his side drew 1-1 with ONGC away from home.  The former Junior All White played just under 30 minutes as he replaced another cult hero in former Melbourne Victory talisman Carlos Hernandez of Costa Rica.

Bhattacharya also felt injuries and other issues had also had an impact on the club’s fortunes so far, but stressed that there was no pressure on their newly appointed Dutch coach.

“See, we don’t have a short term mission and have long term plans. He (Schattorie) came in when nothing was going to our favour. Deepak Mandal’s mother expired, Shylo Malswamtulunga is injured while Kayne Vincent has gone abroad for his injury treatment. The aim is to still finish in top 3 of the championship,” he concluded.

Riding on a Ranti Martins brace, Prayag United defeated ONGC 3-1 to finish fourth in the table. In a match which had plenty of goal-bound action, Martins scored from the spot in the 29th minute after Kayne Vincent was fouled in the box. Ranti added the second just before the half-time before Vincent scored the third around hour mark.

I see on the J-league site that his team will be relegated to the JFL. Anyone know if he has been released.

Would he be another striker to keep on the radar for Russia 2018?

I like him, but would be somewhat shocked if he ever came anywhere near an All Whites squad.

Would be a decent player at ASB Premiership level but that's about it. Has only played overseas in India as a regular starter and seems to have struggled in J2 he's currently in - personally thought he wouldn't be up to J2 standard.
A less capable player than Kris Bright, so a definite "no" for the AW's...

I've been busy settling back in to life in NZ, so haven't kept as close an eye as usual on Thai football, but here is what Vincent's been up to in TPL.

16/3 Air Force Utd 1-1 Songkla Utd (Stats for this game don't include subs, but he began on bench)

22/3 Songkla Utd 0-4 Muang Thong Utd (Started)

26/3 Army Utd 2-1 Songkla Utd (Started, scored after 10 mins to put Songkla up 1-0, yellow card 24')

Vincent scored again in last night's 2-1 home win over Si Saket.

He started, and as far as I can tell from the match report, played the full 90.

Said report here, with video of the goals at the very bottom http://www.siamsport.co.th/thaipremierleague/result_report.asp?id=47081

Songkla are in the blue, and Vincent's is the 2nd goal in the video, making it 1-1 after a teammate's own goal.

Songkla now 18th of 20 teams after 7 rounds, with 5 points.
