Very interesting (to me anyway) that Houston controls all football aspects, but definitely bodes well for Adams that he's already been given captain's duties. He's only 22! 

He also spent time with Houston in preseason both last year and this.

The Houston Dynamo signed Rio Grande Valley defenders Kyle Adams and Andrew Samuels to Short-Term Agreements, making them available for the club’s Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round match against Austin Bold FC later this evening at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Adams sat on the bench for Dynamo during their US Open Cup (UOC) game midweek. A 3-2 win over USL side Austin Bold.

They have another UOC game midweek against Boxall's Minnesota.

Per MLS rules, clubs may sign players from their USL Championship affiliates to Short-Term Agreements (up to four-day contracts) for U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions League and exhibition matches.

Definitely a short term contract then, but good experience for him no less. Good reward for some consistent performances at USL Championship level over the past season and a half.

Apparently has just got a Green card, that will help him.
