Always loved to see Marco playing and all the best for the future.

Great player.
Shame it never worked out for him at the beginning with Stuttgart with injuries.
While his best performances were with Victory along with Ifill, the only Nix player who I would get excited every time he touched the ball.

I'd add Luke Brooke-Smith to this for potential. Thus far he gets your attention.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Sadly Marco never did much in white.
I have a feeling LBS will turn it to be the best player to ever come out of the Nix and maybe the Waikato too (Wood currently occupying that space).

Be nice if Marco was honoured at a VUC verus Nix game this season. Sounds like Melbourne is home for him now. Bonafide Victory legend, but his career started & finished at the Phoenix.
In his prime one of the most exciting players to ever grace the A League. Won the Johnny Warren in 2012/13. Him and Archie T were a great double act. But sadly like so many players his career ended on a whimper. Father time.
He loved playing the Jets.

Right before a World Cup year, Marco Rojas made the call to hang up the boots.

A lifelong dream, within reach.
His reason why? Genuinely heartwarming.

We're proud to welcome Marco Rojas and Alana Jančevski to the Eltham Redbacks family this season.
Marco Rojas needs little introduction to Australian football fans. One of the most creative attacking players the A-League has seen, Marco built his career at Melbourne Victory before taking it to Europe and representing New Zealand at senior international level, including the Olympic Games. The "Kiwi Messi" tag tells you everything about what he brought to every pitch he stepped on.
This season, Marco joins our BVYPL boys program. On the field, he'll run advanced attacking sessions covering first touch under pressure, 1v1 situations, playing on the half-turn, and decision-making in the final third. Off it, he'll work with players individually and in small groups on the mindset side of performance — resilience, emotional regulation, and the habits that separate good players from ones who go further.

cool that he's back doing what he loves and developing youth football, pity that it's not at an NZ club though.

Hopefully he eventually returns here to do something similar. A lovely man, humble and passionate about the game. A good mix for kids to learn off.

he seems fairly well settled in Melbourne, I'd expect any long term footballing career will be there.
