The battle will be between Crocombe & Paulsen you would now think up to the World Cup. Alex with the glamour EPL move, but we don't know yet what level he will be playing at next season.
Crocombe hamstrung as he plays in a comp (League One) that doesn't stop for international windows. Presuming he stays at Burton Albion, there will be times they won't be keen for him to head off with the AWs.
Agree it's going to be more difficult for Bazeley to implement a continous playing out from the back AWs game plan, like Paulsen had with Chief's Nix.
1. That plan can take a long time to embed in well, over many training sessions, and Bazeley will never have that luxury,
2. Coming up against top 50 teams in international football, is a big step up from the ALM. We don't yet know how Paulsen is going to go at a higher level, with less time and space.
But overall you'd now think longer term, Paulsen will be the locked on AWs keeper for many years.
