Wasn't aware that friendlies didn't count if they are played as internationals.

I thought it didn't count if they were games like New Zealand A or Residence sides etc... but the idea still has some merit, if we qualify for the WC playoff with a game to spare in the Ocenia playoff, why not do it then etc, the game is recognised as a full international, has nothing really riding on in it and can lock in a hugely talented player into NZ colours for life.

Speaking of young players, what happened to Nicko Vuckevic or something, the young NZ back who was at gold coast with him, where did he end up?

Cooper got bigger at 1,74m instead of 1,65m and plays now as a defensive midfielder. He has both nz and aus citizenship in addition of having lived in nz for 5 years. At the age of 8, he moved from Vanuatu to a small island located near New Zealand. When he was 13 he moved with his family to Australia and settled on the Sunshine Coast.[7]

Hmmm not sure about your point as that's still not tall for a male - my wife is taller at 1.75m. I guess he'd be quite stocky.
