Were up 3-1 - No more goals for Bevan, or De Vries for that matter.

Bottled it in the last half hour and lose 4-3...

So has his move been a success - played more games than Tuiloma for as many goals in an advanced role... similar teams in the sense they are both propping up the bottom of the table.

How old is Bevan 18?  Commentators were praising his high work rate from 5 mins I watched. He's in a pro environment, scored a few goals. Hopefully after a full season at that USL level, he will develop further and be a good bench option for AWs.

He's an apprentice learning his trade, has done alright in a struggling team, and has had a crack with the AW's. I'd give him another full season in the USL to show his wares.

Not the finished product by any means, but give him a year or two and hopefully he develops and gets a chance to play for the Whitecaps in the MLS.

Some not so brilliant news now - Whitecaps 2 has been disbanded, and the Whitecaps have now formed a partnership with Fresno FC. Good news for Bevan and Wynne, as they'll very likely be moved up to the first team, but most likely for de Vries his contract may be terminated.

Pretty sure Wynne and Bevan are signed on first team contracts for next season.

Yeah by the person who said it's bad news for them that Whitecaps 2 was folding.

Bevan and Wynne it seems have been promoted to first team contracts.

Detailed analysis by well-informed Whitecaps fanzine writer of current status of Whitecaps reserve team players:

http://aftn.ca/in-out-on-the-bubble-2017-usl-edition/

"Like his Kiwi counterpart [Wynne], Bevan has been offered a MLS deal, and will take Kyle Greig’s place on the first team roster. It’s certainly an upgrade on Greig, who went out on loan to FC Cincinnati in the summer, but failed to impress there. He knows his way to goal and with only Erik Hurtado looking likely to be back in the striker’s department next season, he has a great opportunity to establish himself as a regular in the first team gameday 18."

No doubt Bevan and Wynne will still play reserve team football (initially at least) on loan to new Whitecaps affiliate Fresno FC in the USL

It seems that all Whitecaps II players are off-contract like Francis de Vries now the team has folded.

Fresno FC will be an independent team affiliated to Vancouver Whitecaps who will loan them some players:

https://www.whitecapsfc.com/post/2017/11/17/vancou...

"As part of the agreement with Fresno FC, Whitecaps FC will have the ability to assign players to USL contracts to play at the California club, while all players on the roster will be monitored and evaluated for MLS opportunities, as well as call-ups on the USL Short Term Agreement.

Announcements will be made in the coming weeks regarding players from the 2017 USL roster."

Recent interview with de Vries here after returning to NZ to sign for Canterbury United with some nice insights into life in the Whitecaps reserve team with Wynne and Bevan:.

Great that he has Canadian citizenship as he is not taking up an important spot.

Loaned to Husqvarna FF in Sweden, the same club Joel Stevens has recently signed to.

Seems like a weird move, if he needed game time sure he could get it in Fresno? Or at least be loaned a first tier club?

Yeah surely he's too good for the league? I guess it can't hurt to have a brilliant scoring record if he does end up outclassing the league

Scored his 2nd of the season just before H/T v Ljungskile. Currently trailing 3-1 though.

Finished as a 2-4 loss.

I note former AW Luke Adams doesn't appear on squad sheet at Ljungskile, his deal there fall over?

https://au.soccerway.com/teams/sweden/ljungskile-s...

He's not listed in their squad from what I see on their website, and from having a scroll through social media it looks like he's back in Victoria.

Bevan & Stevens both start for Husqvarna against Angelhom.

Husqvarna, lost 0-2 to sit dead bottom of Division 1 (third tier) South.

Bevan was subbed after 77 mins.

From afar seeing Bevan being replaced for the bottom team, in the weak Swedish 3rd tier - is not a great look if trying in be in the AWs side.

I'd agrue that currently someone like Appiah (appreciate not like for like) - is far more worthy of a spot. I guess if Wood & Collier are unavailable, Smeltz & Falloon retired - striker options are limited. Hopefully Brockie is available.

Bevan is only 21, so plenty of upside - but disappointing what level he is playing at currently.

Bevan gets 21 mins off the bench as Husqvarna lose 0-2 to Tvaaker.

Stevens not required off the bench.

Husqvarna's form had improved of late (at same time Bevan was in India), with 3 wins on the trot. However have now lost their last 2 matches.

Lie 13th from 16 teams in the league.

Stevens played full 90 mins as Husqvarna drew 2-2 with Eskilsminne.
