What would have he been on here? 80k?

You gotta imagine that league would pay about that for all their players.

They do play a shark load of games. 36?
So min 18 home games. LOI clubs could then have reasonable gate revenue esp if unlike ALM clubs they own their grounds so minimal match day costs

The wages may be not far off ALM level, with some media money, and local sponsors. Teams probably travel match day mornings by bus. No airfare costs, and minimal hotel spends

google search tells me that SLigo Rovers home ground is pretty small.
The Showgrounds, home of Sligo Rovers Football Club, has a capacity of 5,500 people, with 4,000 seats:

  • Treacy Avenue stand: The largest stand with 1,800 seats, where most home fans sit
  • Jinks Avenue stand: A fully covered stand with 900 seats, where some away supporters sit
  • Volkswagen Bank End stand: An uncovered stand with 1,300 seats, behind the goals at the opposite end to the entrance
The Showgrounds is located in Sligo, Ireland. The club bought the ground in 1968 for £4,000, and it can only be used for sports and leisure.

Sligo Rovers has plans to redevelop the Showgrounds into a 6,129-seat stadium that meets UEFA Category 3 and World Rugby standards. The redevelopment will include demolishing the Jinks Avenue stand and building a new 2,000-seat stand in its place. The Railway End will also get a roof, and the old shed end will be replaced with a new stand. The new stadium will also allow Connacht Rugby to use the ground for competitions.

Whatever minimum wage in the CBA would be, he would be around that.

Only a 1 year deal, so fingers crossed he hits the ground running.

Full game on debut, and the assist for Sligo's 2nd goal in a 2-3 loss.

Despite the loss, Sligo out shot the opposition by more than 2 to 1 and had 60% + possession.

That in itself must have been a novel experience for him.

Good news. OVH starts and gets a full game.
Bad news. It's a 0-1 loss, and Sligo slip to last on the table.

OVH on at 55 mins (0-2) in a 1-2 loss for Sligo.

Sadly no Dyer for Galway.

These games this season (minimum 4 in total) will not only be the LOI Kiwi derby, but also the Connacht Derby.
