I didnt know whether to create a thread titled Kiwis Overseas in the OFC Pro League, or whether it should still be the individual player, but have gone with the latter.
Anyway, Otto Ingham (Auckland United) becomes the first Kiwi to be signed up to a non New Zealand OFC Pro League squad, having been confirmed by Vanuatu United yesterday evening.
Will leave it up to the mods to decide whether we go a thread for each individual or whether we group the players like wr do for the lower leagues in Sweden or the USA.
Hopefully is going to be at least one Kiwi who is going to really shine in this OFC League (probably at South Island United), outside of the identified Nix and Auckland FC pathways.
NZ's talent pool is so shallow that it still ain't that hard to go from the NZ domestic scene, to the AWs or AWs fringes - aka Gillion & Piper - within 12 months. Not when your country has less than 100 fully professional players.
From a NZ context that is what this new league is all about, providing another pro shop window, for guys who otherwise may never get one.
