Did Rory retired now? :-(

Norwich City supporter since 1992, New Zealand supporter since 2010 but without Rory Fallon's winning goal against Bahrain, I won't know about New Zealand Football.

Do you reckon he actually gets a bit sick of this sometimes? It was five years ago now, if it were me that would always be an incredible highlight but I'd also be frustrated that I'm not known for anything since (even if that's justified). Like a one hit wonder getting sick of being requested to play their one radio hit from years ago over and over.

Vanilla Ice syndrome.

A strange premonition in this post from October last year....

Almost like a prophecy....

Scodhorpe! Lol

Naughty!!!

I see the Fever Mischief Maker has inserted a bug which automatically changes "Scumthorpe" to "Scudhorpe"...

Had me fooled until I googled "Scodhorpe" and found no results. Thought it must be some obscure Yorkshire non-league side.

He's definitely no longer on the books at Scumthorpe.

That's shoddy journalism by the Barnsley paper because he was released by Scumthorpe on January 5:

Bugger, FC United of Manchester has a crazy story, would be a cool club to have a kiwi at.

Did they ever get their stadium built?

FC United just got promoted to. They are just one promotion  away from the Conference National now. 5,000 seat stadium is almost built and they will open it with a home friendly against Benfica. You have to credit FC United and their fans for what they have done. They have built their club based on the community. Average attendance have been about 2,000 but should be higher in the new stadium I should think. It's possible they could end up in League Two one day. I think most united fans are understanding of why these people felt the need to start their own club.

Rory came off the bench yesterday to play for the first time since his injury 2/3 (?) years ago.

19 minutes played in total since his debut for Bristol Rovers on 30 January.

Not likely to receive an All Whites re-call then...

"Happy Birthday" to Rory who turns 34 next week.

Rory's three matches so far:

30 January: 76 min sub in 1-0 away loss vs. Accrington Stanley:

To be fair, Rovers are on  a roll right now and just went above my team and his ex club, Plymouth.  If they keep him on he'll be playing League One next season although he was not even on the bench for their 4-1 win over Newport just gone.

Assume he may be doing this to get in a shop window? Some football and visibility. The talking up of his fitness designed to help him get another contract?
