Brilliant result for St Johnstone especially after some of the other results involving Scottish clubs in Europe recently!
Also I see that they they only had one fan at the game due to difficult visa restrictions and prohibitive air fares !

apparently there was no crowd trouble in the away end !

There are no words to describe how incredibly dumb that was
Grumpy old bastard alert
No way was that a straight red
No way was that a straight red
Looked to have a second go at the elbow, which you can't see very well with the other players in the way.
For cracking the guy twice in the face? The 1st one may have been an accident, the 2nd one he knew exactly what he was doing. That's red all day, any day, any league (unless its HAL refs)
Grumpy old bastard alert
That was an absolute lay down Mesir red card. It was not the first contact, it was the second elbow that was thrown that was the problem.
Yeah na. Having watched it a number of times following the above comments still do not think straight red. I think some simulation went on from the defender in the second elbow. My opinion of course.

As I said each to their own. No question that it was a bookable foul but I'm still not sure that his elbow connected the second time. I've seen him get away with worse while playing at Argyle.
Connect or not (and i think he did) the intent is clear. Red any day of the week ending with a "y"
Looked pretty innoculous to me, red was far too harsh, maybe a yellow to the other guy for milking it
... maybe a yellow to the other guy for milking it.....
Yeah..shame on him for deliberatly throwing his face into poor Rory's elbow ! ...
These players going down clutching their faces should toughen up.....learn from ice hockey perhaps

91st minute sub in St Johnstone's 1-0 loss to Ross County yesterday. Clearly out of favour, time to move on maybe?

If you punched someone in the face as hard as you could JV, they probably would laugh it off.

Radiosport reporting he's been told he can look for another club... (and not the graphite shafted kind).
91st minute sub in St Johnstone's 1-0 loss to Ross County yesterday. Clearly out of favour, time to move on maybe?
He was suspended for a red card and missed a few matches. But, true, only seeing scant time as a sub. Also came on as a 68 min. sub in the 4-0 away loss to Motherwell in the game previous to the above one:
21 year-old striker Stevie May is amongst the top goal-scorers in the SPL with 15 goals in all comps
- and Hasselbaink is the only other striker seeing regular game time. Otherwise Fallon and fellow veteran McLean (both 8 apps) are the only other strikers being used.
Looks like I was spot on, time for him to leave the back water that is Scottish football I think following the news that he has been told he can go.
