From Flying Kiwis, De Vries's goal.

Also it’s a handy time for RDV to be coming into some form given that their UEFA Conference League qualifiers begin early next month. The Bit O’Red, as they’re known, will face FH of Iceland in the first qualifying round – with Ryan De Vries to become the first New Zealander to feature in the new third-tier UEFA club competition if he features.

So Seamus Coleman went from this team straight to Everton?

Yeah he did as a 20 year old.

Eric Molloy went from the Irish Premier Division to Southern United, then Tee Dubbs. Now playing in the Irish 2nd tier.

That is a really nice strike!
How old is he? He’s scored a couple of spectacular ones this season. Would he be on the shop window to get to a higher level?

Age 30.

Hasn't always been a starter for Sligo, (16 starts in 23 games). Though more so of late. 3 goals this season to date. 3 goals last season from 14 games only.

This might be his level.

Well if you’ve found your level it’s nice to be able to bang the odd one in like that for sure! Be a nice one to look back at on the career highlights reel.

Any idea why Ryan came back to NZ? I thought he was doing ok over at Sligo?

Interesting how his name never really came up for the All
whites whilst there but now NP and MM are there it’s suddenly considered a decent enough league?

I suspect he’ll carve up our local league again. He was very very good last time.

Think De Vries's AWs eligibilty was never really cleared up? He may actually be ineligible still??

And he did okay in Ireland, but he was never a regular starter for Sligo. Featured in 26 of 36 league games, being in 19 lineups (7 times a sub), so started just over 50% of Sligo's matches. 3 goals.

Mods please move him to Auckland City.

You would expect Pijnaker to shine at this level, and hopefully move on better things after one season. Mata not so sure. He's only being discussed as a 'possible' AWs call up, as Hay will likely need 30 plus guys for the OFC tourney.
